Rumeal Robinson...Whoops

Submitted by chollis on

Looks like a Michigan hero of yesteryear got himself into a good bit of trouble.

WXYZ in Detroit is reporting that the 1989 National Championship hero and sinker of (Seton Hall) Pirate ships has been convicted on 11 counts of fraud, including bank bribery and wire fraud. You can read all of the details for yourself in the linked article, but man, what a crappy feeling to see one of the heroes of Michigan athletics get himself into so much trouble. Robinson is now facing up to 30 years in prison and up to $11 million in fines.

They said Robinson put the condo in the name of his girlfriend, listing her as his company's marketing director though she actually worked in a strip club.

Whenever you're putting possessions in the name of your girlfriend, who also works in a strip club...well...the jig is up.

Sad to hear about this...
