Some of us are so petty and butthurt.

Lets be happy for Coach Rod, he won a very tough PAC-12 south. He's got a chance to beat the Ducks for a 3rd time in a row. The guy is doing things out west. I hope he doesn't end up leaving because he's building something special at 'Zona.

I had a nightmare last night that Florida offers Dan7onio and Naduzzi a boat load of money to come down there and coach. And then MSU offers Rich Rod the job there. Holy fuck that would be terrible.

I was no longer sure that RR was the guy for this school or for any other for that matter. I would totally exept what Dave Brandon did and when he chose Brady Hoke I was not happy. My first comment was "Oh great now instead of losing 56-45 we will lose 24-20". Needless to say I was unhappy. Then Brady starts bringing in some of the best recruits I had seen since Moeller was the coach so I said lets have some patients and see what this guy can do.

Now 3 years later we are losing 22-24 to Rutgers on the road and I am ready for another change. So I will not say RR was the guy because of what he is doing in AZ. Nor will I say Hoke was the guy should he go off and win again. All I can say is neither could win here and thats all that matters. Bring me a coach who can turn Hokes players into champions while simultaniously recruiting his own top recruits and coach them up and it won't matter where or what RR has done at AZ. nor will it matter that Hoke is winning where ever he goes. In other words it's all spilled milk to me, bring me a guy who can win at UM and nothing else matters.

Yeah, Hoke won 10 games while the whole offense looked like a yakety sax video in his first year.... .the same offense that was running up the scoreboard the year before

we just happened to get defensive stops and ohio state was in shambles.  Shit, the loss to nebraska that year showed how crap the offense was under hoke in year 0.

Especially in this conference.  I mean, let's be honest here; we're not calling for Hoke's dismissal because he lost to OSU or even MSU.  We're not happy about it, but the issue is that we can't beat Rutgers, or Maryland, or Minnesota.  We struggle to beat Northwestern.  We struggle to beat a depleted Penn State.  This is the fucking reason why Hoke is gone, because expecting Michigan to be able to handle those teams easily is reasonable with the talent levels we consistently bring in.

Lloyd Carr was not an elite coach by any standard and he was able to consistently win 8-9+ games a season in a much more competitive Big Ten.  Achieving elite results, having yourself consistently in position to win championships, make playoffs, etc, year-to-year is tough anywhere, including Michigan; but it's not impossibly hard to win here.
