maybe?
January 1st, 2011 at 5:40 PM ^
I'm scared to listen.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:42 PM ^
If I don't listen to it, maybe it doesn't exist.

"Nobody on this coaching staff cheated..." (LONG PAUSE)..."the university of a day's work." That was awkward.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:53 PM ^
Aw, fiddlesticks. That doesn't sound promising.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
Working hard and doing your best is a given when you are the head coach at any university, let alone getting paid millions to coach at U-M.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
we played a game today?
January 1st, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
not really
January 1st, 2011 at 5:43 PM ^
They made plays, we didn't.
Got behind, we pressed alittle bit.
Couldn't get D off of field.
Can't kick field goals.
Couldn't bounce back.
Didn't finish drives.
Disappointed, Frustrated. Etc...
January 1st, 2011 at 5:46 PM ^
In other words.....the usual.

He forgot the fact that the whole staff got out coached. Always blaming everyone else. I hope DB had someone run all of RR's papers through the copy machine before he shreds them.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:55 PM ^
you sir are absolutely correct. all in, all share the responsibility.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
Isnt that your job to not let this happen?
January 1st, 2011 at 5:45 PM ^
"Do you think you'll be back next year?"
RR- "You're asking the wrong person" (in sad panda voice)
January 1st, 2011 at 5:54 PM ^
Than who the fuck could answer that ?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
Dave Brandon?
January 1st, 2011 at 8:27 PM ^
Well the way the question was phrased (do YOU think you will be back next year) I doubt DB would have more insight unless he can read minds, in which case, in DB we trust. That being said, we all know why he didn't comment.

Interesting, the press conference still isn't on MGoBlue dot com....

I think you're confusing "rabble" with "ramble"
January 1st, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
"you need to be able to make that FG right there"
Yes true, but your team hasn't all f'ing year, you are down by 17 so why try? WHY? WHY? WHY?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:00 PM ^
He has to have confidence in his kids. Every coach has too, even us 789 year old coaches
January 1st, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
Agreed; but I wouldn't renew the scholarships of the kickers (except Hagerup).
January 1st, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
It was 4th and 4. 1. Everyone on Earth knows we can't kick a FG. 2. We should have been able to get 4 fn yards. 3. We were down, and had no momentum, we needed a touch.
He should have went for it.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
Because in that situation you take the points. I would wager that there are at least a dozen people on this board that could have hit that FG.
January 1st, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
This was what really put me over the edge today. What a poor decision at a critical moment.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:49 PM ^
I thought his comments with regards to recruiting were very interesting.
Said he thought his staff performed excellently to keep from having any decommits with everything swirling around.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:58 PM ^
A picture is worth a thousand words and a $2.5 million buy-out...
January 1st, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
Don't be a dick
January 1st, 2011 at 10:36 PM ^
your Zima buzz is wearing off.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:51 PM ^
To me that was the biggest disappointment. A veteran O line and nobody but DRob could get any yards on the ground. Running V Smith on first down = Lloyd thowing short of the sticks on 3rd down. Do. Not. Want.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
i appreciate when he says the players have worked incredibly hard.
i understand when he says true freshman make mistakes, and that they need an offseason to grow into their roles.
i believe him when he says he didn't expect this result today, and i agree when he says our players did not execute today.
but i am stunned that as the coach he accepted no responsibility for the loss. not once does he ever say we were outcoached or outprepared for today's game. after watching that much poor execution (especially on fundamentals like the defense setting up on the line of scrimmage) there's no way the players should shoulder all the burden for that terrible loss.
regardless of the team's performance, i have never questioned RR's integrity and have always felt he carries himself as deserving of the "michigan man" moniker. but this honestly bothered me about the post-game interview.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:04 PM ^
but with what is hanging over his head (if he doesn't already know), why would he make a public admission about getting out coached having a whole month to prepare?
No speed option with DROB and Smith is reason enough to get the axe at this point. I can't believe it wasn't utilized ONE TIME in three years.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
I believe Tate did it once against Indiana last year, and it got tipped and the Hoosiers recovered it..... /s
January 1st, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
I know V Smith is a tough little shit, but damn can someone else get a shot a playing RB. Someone who can turn the corner and with a little more strength. I love the kids heart, but other RB should of had more touches. I know Shaw had some towards the end and it looked like an extra burst of speed.
January 1st, 2011 at 7:39 PM ^
Fitz, Hopkins, Shaw. You gotta give someone else a shot
January 1st, 2011 at 6:06 PM ^
When coaches take "blame" for loss, isn't that being just a touch dishonest?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
If the team loses, it is ALWAYS the coaches fault. When the team wins, its ALWAYS the players efforts. It is plain and simple. Been that way before my daddy, and his daddy and his daddy and Fielding Yost too.

Goodbye RR
January 1st, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
Did anyone notice that on the same drive we missed the fg, that we ran the same stupid ass bubble screen play. Back to back. It didn't work to the right, why not try the left. The sad thing about is that the same LB sniffed it out on both sides. WOW, good call OC!
January 1st, 2011 at 8:16 PM ^
Those 2 plays and the missed FG are what caused me to go over the edge....
January 1st, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
I've successfully transitioned from whine to wine. Much better now.
