They made plays, we didn't.

Got behind, we pressed alittle bit.

Couldn't get D off of field.

Can't kick field goals.

Couldn't bounce back.

Didn't finish drives.

Disappointed, Frustrated. Etc...

Well the way the question was phrased (do YOU think you will be back next year) I doubt DB would have more insight unless he can read minds, in which case, in DB we trust.  That being said, we all know why he didn't comment.

I thought his comments with regards to recruiting were very interesting.

Said he thought his staff performed excellently to keep from having any decommits with everything swirling around.

To me that was the biggest disappointment.  A veteran O line and nobody but DRob could get any yards on the ground.  Running V Smith on first down = Lloyd thowing short of the sticks on 3rd down. Do. Not. Want.

i appreciate when he says the players have worked incredibly hard.

i understand when he says true freshman make mistakes, and that they need an offseason to grow into their roles.

i believe him when he says he didn't expect this result today, and i agree when he says our players did not execute today.

but i am stunned that as the coach he accepted no responsibility for the loss.  not once does he ever say we were outcoached or outprepared for today's game.  after watching that much poor execution (especially on fundamentals like the defense setting up on the line of scrimmage) there's no way the players should shoulder all the burden for that terrible loss.

regardless of the team's performance, i have never questioned RR's integrity and have always felt he carries himself as deserving of the "michigan man" moniker.  but this honestly bothered me about the post-game interview.

but with what is hanging over his head (if he doesn't already know), why would he make a public admission about getting out coached having a whole month to prepare?

No speed option with DROB and Smith is reason enough to get the axe at this point. I can't believe it wasn't utilized ONE TIME in three years.

I know V Smith is a tough little shit, but damn can someone else get a shot a playing RB. Someone who can turn the corner and with a little more strength. I love the kids heart, but other RB should of had more touches. I know Shaw had some towards the end and it looked like an extra burst of speed.

Did anyone notice that on the same drive we missed the fg, that we ran the same stupid ass bubble screen play. Back to back. It didn't work to the right, why not try the left. The sad thing about is that the same LB sniffed it out on both sides. WOW, good call OC!
