RR donates Michigan wardrobe

Submitted by umhero on

Rich Rodriguez donated his Michigan wardrobe to the Salvation Army and it will be sold on Saturday at the Wayne Store on Michigan Ave.  Items will start at $6.00.

I remain a fan of the coach and he certainly could have pitched this stuff.  It's nice that he took the time to donate it.

BTW - The article says his friends are taking him someplace warm for the weekend.  I'm sure that's what I would want too in the same situation.

Classy move from a classy guy.  I hope he and his family can enjoy this time away from the game; he'll get another chance to enter the presser-cooker of coaching soon enough.

I'd be there in a heartbeat. RRod had some nice jackets, from full on winter to shell style.. You never know what could be in those bags.. game worn jerseys, etc?

I'm in Sandusky right now, but I'm pretty sure the wife is gonna push for a drive home back to Columbus rather than 2 hours further north..

kind of a big deal

Classy move by RR .  I wish the guy well in the future.  it seems the cards and alums were stacked against the guy from the start in ann arbor.

I'm behind Hoke and the team, but RR always represented michigan well during his time here and I wish him the best.

Good story - RR was poorly characterized while at UM because of a couple of former players with axes to grind and, oh yeah, the jerks at the Freep.  He's a good guy who deserved better, and it is nice to see him moving on with class.

I really wish it would have worked out for him here, but I also think his best coaching years are yet to come.  He's always been a class guy and I wish him and his family the best.

I can't believe the haters would take the opportunity to take a few shots at the guy in a thread like this.  Let it die, man.  You're making yourself look very asinine, Band Guy.

RR could have been a troll and burned all the stuff... c'mon man, he's a multi-millionare.  You really think he could have  cared about the clothes?  At least the man had enough decency and caring for UM he took the time to even gather the stuff up?  There are too many people out there nowdays who have forgot what this country was built on... I know there's no politics and I'm not going there, but talk crap about the UAW and other unions.... maybe if you ever had a job where you had to lift you hand to do something other than type...  I know if I was RR I would have probably laid all the clothes out in my front yard in a big 'FU' and set them on fire.

Seems the Senator is trying to earn his trip to Bolivia one point at a time instead of in one shot like Fumanblue.  At this rate, a few more posts and they will cross paths somewhere around Panama or Guatemala.

After a three-year quest spent fighting the RR is Gawd takeover of this and other boards--

I found myself oddly intrigued by the possibility of a fourth year. I for one WILL always wonder what could have been had Rodriguez been endorsed the Friday before the OSU game.

Weird? I don't care. That's how I feel.
