RR donates Michigan wardrobe

Submitted by umhero on

Rich Rodriguez donated his Michigan wardrobe to the Salvation Army and it will be sold on Saturday at the Wayne Store on Michigan Ave.  Items will start at $6.00.

I remain a fan of the coach and he certainly could have pitched this stuff.  It's nice that he took the time to donate it.

BTW - The article says his friends are taking him someplace warm for the weekend.  I'm sure that's what I would want too in the same situation.

I couldn't care less if my coach walks around in a Belichick cut-off sweat shirt as long as he won games. Same goes for if he's wearing an Armani suit and loses them all. Your stereotyping of UAW workers and RR as being a hick disgusts me. The classic Billy Madison clip will be synonymous with you for the rest of my e-life.

what the fuck are you talking about, sport?

Lloyd Carr:

Rich Rodriguez:

More Lloyd Carr, here looking just a bit Wal-Martish (and defeated) to me:

And more Rich Rodriguez, looking better perhaps than Lloyd ever did:

And your point, Bluetarsky, was what?

Please give me more points so I can keep negging this dim-witted waste of life.  My grandfather worked for GM with horrible arthritis until he was 67 on a grinding wheel 6 and 7 days a week.  I live in Upstate NY now with a great education and job b/c he provided the opportunity for my father to go to UM to get a world class education.  An opportunity he never had.

In fact posbang all in this thread so we all have some sacrificial mgopoints.

I feel bad for the man, and he has been as classy a person as one could be throughout this entire process.  He'll succeed somewhere, and I will cheer him on wherever he goes.  May his teams have great success, except when playing the University of Michigan.

I miss coach rod :(
And not in the way which is a put down to anyone else. I just always really liked the guy, he was one of the friendliest people I've ever met.

and your donation, Coach.

When RR got teary eyed, he was a faggy, cry-baby, loser jerk.

When Hoke pert-near cried -- while talking about all the players he has touched -- he was a hero.

so it goes.

He should have given his UM gear to T Pryor. Dude is broke as a joke. Hopefully the salvation army shows mercy on the poor kid who received a 150k education for nothing.

Kinda weird to me he's donating everything already. I know a coach at the high levels very well, and when he was released he didn't get rid of everything. He felt a connection to the school and still wore the stuff.....

I was very much an RR supporter. Your the one flipping out. I just merely said it was a little weird to me that he got rid of it so fast. Im not even saying its wrong, im glad he donated it rather than just throwing it out.

I've been in a situation where I've been an outsider coming into a tight knit community, and it didn't work out despite my best efforts.  Its a terrible feeling; especially when you are just making the right progress.  I did learn a lot from this experience though and I'm sure Coach Rich will as well.

He will take another University to the top someday.

I never said it had anything to do with Rich, I doubt he knows. My point was that people should think and read up on charities before they run out and donate money to them... essentially, I'm explaining why I wouldn't rush out to this auction.

into lawlessness anyway. Might as well go down swinging for a reasonable cause, instead of an RR-Hoke fight.

Edit: reply fail to David from Wyoming
