Roy Roundtree Interview with Rittenberg:

Nothing really newsworthy here. (No mention of snake oil either.) He does mention that spring has been more fun this year.
Rittenberg is tiny. Roundtree is only 6-foot and dwarfs him.
Adam Rittenberg was the person behind Jake Long in that wedding rehearsal picture we saw a few weeks ago.
are actually brothers. They're the real life story that the movie "Twins" is based on.
Jake got all the nutrients and testosterone while in-utero, Rittenberg got "the leftovers".
I saw Rountree a week or so ago at one of my favorite thursday night hang outs and I was really surprised at how big he was. I'm around 6' tall but he had at least two inches on me and wasn't as slight as I expected. He's also a great guy that was willing to talk for a while and told me how excited he was for the upcoming season. Definitely a great kid to have on the team.
...UM receivers need to be. He has shown -- and hopefully will continue to show -- that it's more important to be able to catch and hold onto the football than be a speedsters able to hit the homerun. I'd rather see the chains move because of great catching receivers who aren't blazers than blazers who can not be relied on to make catches.
Roundtree is an undersized, somewhat "slow" receiver...but toward the end of the year I was always hoping for Tate to hit him on every pass play. He's almost a guaranteed first down everytime he's thrown to. Absolutely love the kid.
FWIW, I don't think Roundtree is particularly slow. I think he got caught from behind because he thought he was in the clear and he eased up just a bit. He's not a blazer, but I'm not concerned about his speed at all.
...I didn't mean to imply he was slow but he's not a burner. Running good routes and getting separation from defenders is what is key, imho. Roundtree has shown both ability and hopefully he'll continue to do so. It's time UM busts out and shows consistency on both sides of the ball. Hopefully this year will be the beginning of a long trend of consistent dominating football in A2.
Seems like he's shown more quickness than some of our other previous possession receivers. i.e. Avant or Mathews. I think he has a ton of potential and even though he got caught from behind it was after 60+ yards. I'll take that kind of gain any time.
However, looking back at the season I would say that might have been the most important yard that we almost got but didn't (thanks, video).
Yes, but only because we failed on our next four tries. (Actually, Brown got in on 3rd down, but I digress.) Roundtree got us to the doorstep.
What people also forget, or perhaps never knew, is that the kid who chased Roundtree down, Terry Hawthorne, was a pretty big recruit, and more importantly, a track STAR. He would probably be the second fastest player on our team, if not the fastest (for real). So that's like giving DRob or Mike Shaw 60 yards to run down a receiver, which they could do to most any receiver in the country.
Terry Hawthorne is my least favorite college player who doesn't wear scarlet and gray.
Rittenberg better not interview any Sparty players otherwise they might kick his ass out of reflex.
Roundtree's attitude and abilities definitely make him one of my favorite players.
Great kid. Anybody that thinks RR is incapable of bringing good athletes that are also good kids can eat a dick.
I don't know that anybody has said Rodriguez can't do that, but okay.
The FreeP has implied it.
