Ross to reporters: "Here's a Christmas present. You don't have to ask me anymore. He has one year left on contract and is coming back"

I have to believe that if Ross believed JH would turn down Michigan, then he wouldn't have made this statement. Of course, Ross wouldn't be the first owner to say something and then contradict himself a couple of weeks later.

No reason to fire the guy. The phins were a play away from beating GB, and Denver, tannehill has gotten better and better, and they have a solid defense. Bottom line was the AFC was very deep this year and the dolphins were a day late and a dollar short. One less Harbaugh suitor.

^ Beat me to it.

The fins are idiots if they fire their coach.  Just get them to be more conisistent, and they'll be in the playoffs next season.  Ross has all the makings of a really good team down there.

I have to imagine this all but seals it. I doubt Ross would back off if the thought there was a realistic chance Harbaugh would turn down Michigan. Hopefully this means we can soothe the burn of not having a bowl to watch with a "Welcome Home: Harbaugh" post.
