Roseboro to NC State

If Hoke comes back, the university will show they've given up on the football program, and fans will follow suit.

Honestly, the only way Hoke comes back is if he wins 7-8 games this year and wins a bowl game. So that basically means he nearly wins out with at least one win against a major rival on the road. In this fantasy world, that means the team plays much better, the coaching looks competent, and most fans come away reasonably happy. In that context, I think fans are happy.
I don't for 1 second believe that will happen, but in that situation I think fans really do get over it quicker than we all think. Hell, I don't think Dave Brandon or Brady Hoke should stick around, but if Hoke and this team beat MSU and OSU and look competent doing it, that would definitely give me pause to reevaluate.

At least this opens up room for Seymore.

until michigan makes a decision on Hoke, this recruiting class will continue to suffer. Either endorse Hoke now (Meltdown ensues) or fire the guy. Make a decision now dammit

A bit surprised a player of his caliber would actually chose NC State

...and I was surprised how many wound up at N.C. State.
Usually it seemed to be academics [as in, they had trouble with admissions or couldn't do the work at the school they originally committed to] that drove them there. Not the case here, I think.

Hard to commit to M when everyone knows that the coach is getting canned this year. He can stay closer to home now and receive proper coaching.

This is exactly the type of DE we need at Michigan, sorry to see the kid going elsewhere.
Taco looks like he's going to be a stud, but you need 3 or 4 studs at that position to be elite.

What exactly has Charlton done on the field to make you think he's going to be a "stud?"

The good coaches won't be available until after the season. There is no way this class gets salvaged. David Brandon strikes again.

NC St. is 38-38
UM is 41-35

Roy Manning did a hell of a job recruiting him.
October 11th, 2014 at 5:03 PM ^
He is an amazing recruiter and to be truthful if we were doing better we would have pulled in a couple other big recruits.
October 11th, 2014 at 5:01 PM ^
There will be other recruits out there.

Not this year.

Thankfully this is a small class. The most important thing is to somehow fix the team we have now. Here's to hoping for a new AD in the next 48 hours.
