Rose Bowl Open Thread

5 PM on ESPN.

Well, here it is - the Rose Bowl Presented By Vizio.

This is the battle of conference champions, of the 11-2 teams. Wiscosin versus LaMichael's Legs, or Oregon, if you prefer. 

I don't have much in the way of sarcasm directed towards this game - it actually seems like it should be a good game, although I have to wonder if Wisconsin will  be able to keep up with Oregon for the entire game. 

Can Monte Ball break the record for TDs in a single season of FBS play?  We shall  see. 

Will Bret Bielema find an innovative way to be a d-bag? Very likely. 

I took Oregon.  Call me nuts.

I made my pool picks based on what I thought were realistic scenarios, particularly in the case of teams I have seen more, but the Michigan alum in me would like the B1G to do something today. In this respect, I agree - save us, Wisconsin.

He really needs to start throwing out the random expletives just to spice it up though. It would at least add a modicum of entertainment value to the analysis.

From what I've seen of Wisconsin, their pass D is so bad I can see Oregon racking up a lot of points.  Badgers are going to have to engage in some serious clock control.

Well, that was easy enough.

Oregon's defense was actually helping them really. I am thinking Chip Kelly came for the shootout, not the defensive struggle.

Hopefully Wisc can return some of the face we lost today with MSU being the only team that didn't lay an egg. That being said, Nebraska played a pretty good game, and I still think they are an excellent addition to our conference.

It's 80, not 100, and the sun isn't pounding as it's not direct.  Once the sun goes behind the mountains sometime in the 3rd quarter or earlier, it will cool very quickly.

Ohio I agree, State, not so much.  Honestly, as long as we're going well, which we deffinatly are now, we won't be competing with them in recruiting much.  They'll get a few good recruits, but they are mostly strong leans to begin with.  The vast majority of MSU players will not have UM offers.  We will compete with Ohio for recruits much more often.
