Per Josh Helmholdt, Ron Thompson has committed to Syracuse. It does not say it directly in his tweet, but it has a link to the Syracuse Rivals page. Best of luck to him.
that is nice bonus change
I liked the kid but I trust the coaches decision to not pursue him further.
He could be a big player for their program. Woulda loved to have him but he just didn't pull the trigger soon enough I suppose
I would have loved to have a 6'4 TE creating mismathches all day for shane morris & co.
because we have 2. We have 6'5" Devin Funchess and 6'6" AJ Williams. You're welcome. :)
That guy with the M and SU flags in his avatar will be overjoyed
In fact I am.
Wouldn't have minded either if he had ended up at Michigan, but SU needed him more, especially given the significant role that the TE has in the offense.
Anyone know how he has been doing this year? I haven't heard anything about his senior year play.
Yes, the original poster was too lazy to type out "Syracuse." Is DarthSidious17 too lazy to where he really couldn't type the full name "original poster?"
You "obvi" knew what I meant.
Seriously? Like you actually had to think about what Cuse could stand for? It's not like saying USC or OSU where there's 3 or 4 different options
I definitely would have liked to see him be a part of this class. We may have enough TE commits but he already has proven chemistry with Shane Morris and I think he would have proven to be a big target for the offense.
I think we can do without another kid who has character/work ethic issues. Chris Barnett just left the program, and the only other TE we have on the roster is Brandon Moore, who will be a senior next year. (And Ricardo Miller, I guess.) Michigan has a good shot with better players than Thompson.
And who cares about his chemistry with Shane Morris? Morris will develop good chemistry with someone else, if or when he becomes the starting QB at Michigan. Morris also has good chemistry with his girlfriend and his best friend from 2nd grade, but that doesn't mean they're deserving of scholarships from Michigan.
Good for him. Cuse is a good school with literally nothing to do there so he naturally has to stay out of trouble. Best of luck.
Best of luck to him and I hope he does well there.
Best of Luck and have a great career in the ACC!! That league might actually be better than ours this year....yeesh.
