there is some hope in recruiting in OSU's backyard, as Latwan Anderson is going to WVU, and Jordan Hicks is going to Texas this year. Maybe we can weaken the stronghold next year they have if we can get these 2011 recruits, one of which will definitely be 5 stars. I would also be happy with Lawrence Thomas instead of DePriest. If we could get Zettel, Arnett,Thomas, and Beyer, that would be the top 5 in Michigan. (We already have Hollowell)

you can use Hicks as indicative of some trend regarding OSU in-state recruiting. He did not grow up in Ohio and stated unequivocally that he was never an Ohio State fan. It was a unique situation. I'd like to believe the walls around the fortress are crumbling but I don't know if that's the case. Yet.

"I definitely like Michigan a lot," Tanner said. "But now, I have more of an open eye, and I want to look at all of the colleges, and looking at all the colleges as even and try to find what fits me best." Shit.

By the way, is Brennan Beyer going to commit soon, or will he look at some other options first and take more time?

Beyer isn't listed on the recruiting board here, or on the one at Scout. Please forgive me for being so wrapped up in this year of recruiting that I'm not up to speed on future recruits. Can someone provide some vitals? School, position, measurables? In advance, thanks for sharing the knowledge!

Signing Day 2011 is over a year away. There's a lot that can happen between now and then. I'm turning my attention to spring practices and seeing how these kids develop on the field before I even start to get emotionally involved in the thought process of a high school junior. Not that it's not conversation worthy, but let's not get carried away. There's a lot of football to be played between now and then.
