We have felt the pain of a win that was blown. Nice to win one. Kansas deserves respect as they have a great team and played their hearts out.

Former coworker of mine was a distance runner for KU. Class guy. I have met many other KU grads and they are generally good people. Plus, they couldn't hold onto Coach Yost back in 1899, so I cannot hate them too much.

I can't even read those threads.  With the way M lost to Wisconsin and to Indiana in heart breaking fashion, I can only imagine how KU fans feel right now.  My bathroom door still has a crack in it from the Indiana game....

I read through that thread and the thing that stood out to me was how they accepted the loss. It is almost as if they didn't realize they were the number one seed and losing half their team for next year. My guess is they were in shock and it will hit them later.

... and would have won if Burke or McGary had been any less magnificent.  Props to Kansas and to their fanbase for not, say, melting down when their players missed free throws in an important game.

....on various Kansas sites, something I had admittedly never done until now, is interesting. For the most part, they are pretty sensible and contemplative. Many of them did a very good job of keeping the discussion in some perspective, I thought. It is nice to see that you would get very little argument from Jayhawk fans on one thing in particular. One fan on his disillusionment with Elijah Johnson:

"The lasting image of EJ as a Kansas Jayhawk will be him cheap shotting Mitch McGary in the nuts and then passing up an easy layup to send the game to double OT. That's not a good image to go out with and it will do major damage to EJ's legacy as a Jayhawk. "
