Rivals100 Breakdown

Gobluegr did a great breakdown of the Rivals100 as far as who we are targeting most and where we believe their interest may lie. Hope you enjoy: Rivals100

EDIT: We didn't go over every offer within the top 100. We covered the ones who we have either talked to first hand or believe Michigan has a good shot with.

3 Top 5 players want to take officials to Michigan?

Me Gusta.

If things go our way we could have an absolutely spectacular class in 2013.

I wouldn't hold out for those officials to even happen though.  They might, but remember that these recruits haven't gotten the pitches yet as new schools emerge and offer.  I'm sure Michigan looks good to them now because of our re-emergence and tradition but that might fade as new schools enter the picture.  Not trying to be a Debby Downer, just trying to be realistic here.

It would fucking fantastic if we pulled even one of those guys but I feel like they're already destined for certain schools (Tunsil to Florida, Cravens to USC, and Fuller to VT or a southern school).

It's still really early in the process, and things can change—oth for better and for worse at this point. However, as TomVH always said (I'm pretty sure it was Tom...), once you get a guy to take an official, anything can happen.  That being said, we probably just have an outside shot at getting one of these guys, but the fact that we're in the race for all of them (probably in their top 5's), says a lot about how this class could turn out.  Furthermore, the top 100 seems to be littered with guys who have a lot of interest in Michigan, and I wouldn't be shocked if we pulled at least a few more of them, which would help set the foundation for a really strong class (when combined with our two commits we already have with Dymonte and Shane).

This is how the rivals 100 breaks down.

We're only going to be able to sign around 20 of them, because of the 85 schollie limit.

Like saying that a kid won't immediately commit because he got on campus or that we're behind some other schools and that offering might not change things. It's a firm grasp of the situations, unlike some other blogs who are convinced that a certain coach will get anyone he wants and it's only a matter of time before they commit.

Very thorough and well done.
