I doubt we have a chance with the Alabama kids but some of the out-of-staters may be up for grabs.  I remember Bo Scarbrough being on Michigan's radar and he's yet to take his official visit.

I'm just happy to get a offensive coordinator that also will double as a qb coach, since we didn't employ one previously. No offensive to Borges but I just dont see him on the practice field teaching our kids, showing them, not just saying. This was a home run hire for us. Not expecting to flip recruits, but excited with the connections he's gonna bring with him being one of Alabama's recruiters

I can't wait to see what he does with Green.

If his history with QB's was impressive, look at his track record with RB's

Fresno State

2008- Anthony Harding: 147 carries, 822 yards, 5.6 YPC

2008- Lonyae Miller: 120 carries, 812 yards, 6.8 YPC

2008- Ryan Matthews: 113 carries, 606 yards, 5.4 YPC

Washington

2009- Chris Polk: 226 carries, 1113 yards, 4.9 YPC.

2010- Chris Polk: 260 carries, 1415 yards, 5.4 YPC.

2011- Chris Polk: 293 carries, 1488 yards, 5.1 YPC.

Alabama

2012- Eddie Lacy: 204 carries, 1322 yards, 6.5 YPC

2012- TJ Yeldon: 175 carries, 1108 yards, 6.3 YPC

2013- TJ Yeldon: 207 carries, 1235 yards, 6.0 YPC

2013- Kenyan Drake: 92 carries, 694 yards, 7.5 YPC

Son of Lloyd Brady

Well Borges almost did it with Cadillc Williams and Ronnie Brown in 2004:

Williams: 239 carries for 1165 yards (4.9/carry) & 12 TDs

Brown: 153 carries for 913 yards (5.97/carry) and 8 TDs

So it seems to be more about the talent on the roster than the coach himself.

EDIT: Not defending Borges, just making a point.

What a nice 1-2 punch today. This is miles different than hires in the past where we seemed to be scrambling for a good answer. I told my friend earlier today we should get Stanford's OC and I never would have thought bama was an option... I think Brady could learn from Saban's "process" and why not bring some of his ideas into the fold? Love the hire, Go Blue!!! (Am I Too late for the POSbang??)

When I first read about Al getting the axe, I jumped up and with two clinched fists I started yelling "Yes...yes...yes". My wife and daughter thought I had lost my mind..... Of course I did the same thing when I read who is going to replace Al and my wife looked at me with a look on her face that said, "what the hell did I do". Go Blue!

While I'm happy Borges is called (good luck to him wherever he goes) I'm curious as to why Saban was willing to let him go and how the aftermath of his departure is received by Bama fan's. Is his success a product of the five star recruits liking the Bama brand and Saban or can he bring to Michigan what he brought there ? Guess we'll see.

That's all, but that's good enough for me.  I think if the 2k14 season can be a good one showing a glint of flash, then the future recruits will come back in force.

Would be pretty weird if Hand was an OT, now wouldn't it!! 8-)
