After seeing the stats that Dee had, how did he make 2nd team and not first? Either they must put quite a bit of emphasis on winning the state championship or there was another running back out there with absolutely insane stats.

Size. If Dee Hart were 2" taller, he'd be 1st team easy, imo.

Size was the same issue with another Hart that went to Michigan and we all saw how that story beautifully unfolded. I see the same here assuming this Hart ends up at Michigan. With an athletic O-line that gels together to move mountains, this Hart will hide behind them and use his vision and running moves like the ol Hart did. That would be a beautiful thing to see again.

I guess where I'm confused is the 2 and 3 star prospects they listed on the team. Since Rivals itself is rating these guys, if Rivals thinks these kids are good enough to be the top dogs of high school football why don't they adjust the ratings? Like that 2 star running back who is a candidate for Mr. Football in Mississippi. Why doesn't Rivals bump him up to 4-star or even 5-star status if they think he's the top high school back? Or is it because they think he's the best high school back but won't transition to college well?

I would guess your last sentence is your answer. Much of the rankings are based off of NFL potential.

that stars aren't everything.

Nice quote regarding his second team honor, "Countess did not pile up the stats that the first team players did, but that is because no one was throwing his way."
Let's hope this carries over to the 2011 season.

... that this guy is going to OSU. I think I would have liked him, otherwise. Great BA Baracus tribute.

This guy rivals Pearlie Graves for most terrifying recruiting profile photo. Based solely on this photo I'm predicting that he'll be an All'American.
