Beat Purdue and one of Wisco/OSU; with Iowa and Penn St. in BCS games (Wisco/OSU going to Capital One and Outback). Leaves 7-5/6-6 Minn, N'w, and MSU to the Champs/Insight/Motor City This is very possible. And very optimistic. But, hey, if we are going to be optimistic, how about finishing 9-3 with a trip to the Capital One Bowl!!!

In that article they were clear on saying that the bowl selections don't necessarily mean the team was say 4th in the conference standings, but instead the 4th picked, etc. I doubt it will happen, but I have to wonder that if Michigan gets bowl eligible, whether we will get a better bowl than our record allows because of our fan base.

because rivals is usually 100% right about everything that they write. What is the world coming to?? Next thing someone will tell me that rivals had a high-schoolers 40 time wrong.

I would LOVE to see Michigan avenge that horrific loss from four years ago during the Year of Infinite Pain. To this day, I still hate everything associated with the Sun Belt conference (because of the refs obviously).

I guess you bought the Jump to Conclusions game huh? You said what makes you think we could beat Nebraska - I pointed out that if Iowa State can beat Nebraska we can beat Nebraska. Notice I said can - not will nor did I say we'd skunk them or blow them out - simply that, responding to your your question, we CAN beat them. Of course I'm sure on Nebraska blogs they would point to last weeks box score as evidence they can beat us. Since when is saying we can beat a team that had 8 turnovers against Iowa State a glass house metaphore? They are beatable - I'm not saying we could beat any team ranked in the top 10 - just that we could beat a team who lost to Iowa State. Also, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we CAN beat a team that beat tOSU (Purdue) - wow, I'm such a rebel... If you don't think we are capable of beating Nebraska or Purdue for that matter you must really, really hate this team and have completely wiped the first 7 games of the season from your brain.

If we end up going to the Alamo bowl there's a possibility we match up with Texas Tech instead of Nebraska. If that happens, it's going to be the longest day of our lives... They will throw to our secondary for.. a million yards.

What are the rules for selection? Are Big-Ten-affiliated bowls allowed to take any 6-6 team over any other 6-6 team, or do they have to go by conference record? Michigan's odds of avoiding Detroit are a lot better if the former is the case.
