Rittenberg says Minor will play
Michigan starting running back Brandon Minor remains hobbled by an ankle injury and could sit out Saturday's opener against Western Michigan. "We're concerned whether he can go Saturday," Rodriguez said. "We're hoping he can. I guess the next two days will determine that." My take: Minor plays Saturday, without a doubt.

No save him only if we have it in hand in the 4th qtr. Im tired of losing our openers and making the rest of season be for not (not totally for not considering it is not a big 10 game but it is just frustrating as hell (so maybe for not was a bad choice of words and maybe I spent too much time explaining that?)) Seriously though, I think/hope the staff and the players have a statement to make on the 5th not just some oh we won by 10 statement, I want an ass-whoopin'
EDIT: I don't actually want my ass whooped, I want WMU to get their asses whooped.

I will be dissapointed if he does not play but I am relieved to hear he is not still suffering headaches ala Lilja from the Detroit Red Wings.

As other people have noted, if we can't beat WMU without Minor, then forget about a 8-9 win season. We have a good stable of RBs to step in; we'll be fine.

Yeah, I expect us to win 6-7 games, but it's game week and alot of people are suddenly getting very optimistic and predicting 8-9 wins. Even theWolverine.com writers all predicted 8-4 except Helmsholdt.

Why does everyone assume we're gonna beat WMU? I love the optimism and confidence, but I think we should be a little guarded here. They have a pretty good QB and we know much that can help. I think they lost some solid guys on D (Delmas and a CB I think) but they're better than Toledo was and they're gonna be fine. Until our team shows us something positive, I don't think we should assume a victory over WMU. Last time people were this (over)confident, well, you know what happened.

Not everyone assumes that M is going to beat WMU, only one person (treetopflyer) so far.
On the other hand, what else should we assume? That M is going to lose? What's the fun in that? This is the week everybody in the country feels good about their team. Next week will be a different story.

I hope so because he is 1 of my RBs in 1 of ESPN's college challenges ... that and he is our best RB.
