the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
RIP Vada Murray
Very, very sad.

Incredibly sad news. My earliest memories as a fan are of he and Tripp going up on fg attempts. Hope he and his family find peace.

Damn. I was in John U. Bacon's class and he brought in Vada Murray and Jim Betts to speak to the class the week of the OSU game. He brought the house down. So sad to hear of his passing.
Hail to the college whose colors we wear,
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!
I was there too. He was an awesome speaker and hilarious, especially when he was talking about giving out speeding tickets.
Rest in Peace Vada Murray, a true Michigan Man.

He gave me my one and only legal infraction in my entire life, an MIP a few months before I turned 21. I was at a function I knew he was going to be at a year ago and showed him a copy, his response was "one of many". The last meeting was less than a year ago when I he was signing items to benefit a scholarship that goes to Michigan students who either have cancer or whose parents have it. He had just been through a round fo chemo and radiation and his doctors said he was responding well. So sad to see it turn so badly so quickly and my sincere condolences to his wife and kids.
My thoughts and prayers go to his family.
Greetings from Bolivia.

So sad. Just heard him on the radio a month ago and stories about him. Condolences to his family. RIP.
Damn. I was talking to someone the other day that mentioned that he was getting close to passing. This is unfortunate. RIP Vada, my condolences to his family.
Someone needs to find a cure for cancer, and ASAP!

Sad day. Vada fought a hell of a fight. Prayers go out to his wife and kids.

I got the chance to hear Vada speak in my History of Athletics class with John U. Bacon (I know, I know, I talk a lot about the class, but it was the greatest class I took at U of M). He seemed like a great person and a true Michigan Man. He will be missed.

We lived in the same house at South Quad and I had a class or two with him. He was a good guy. My condolences to his family.
becomes more difficult when you hear news like this. Thank you Lord for Vada's life and allowing him to share it with us.
We lose another Wolverine far too soon.
RIP, Vada. God bless your cotton-pickin maize and blue heart.
Go Blue! Always!
and now he and Bo are reunited once again. Bo was waiting at the pearly gates and gave him hug just as he used to do when Vada would block a FG attempt.
Take care of him Bo.

RIP.
I down-vote ANYONE that puts the "t" in front of osu. Don't be a tool.
Oh yea....screw msu too.
This is SO sad. I pass on my deepest sympathies to his family and wish Vada eternal peace. His on-field exploits and accomplishments notwithstanding, Vada was simply a great human being. I hope all Michigan Men live up to his standards.

Thanks for the memories vada. RIP.

In 1992, I was in a car accident. I was fine, but my car was totalled. It was the first brand new car I'd ever bought, and I'd had it for only 9 days. I was completely dejected. Vada Murray was the police officer who came to the scene. When I realized who he was, somehow my day was just a little bit better.
RIP Vada Murray. May those you leave behind find peace.
I automatically downvote "B1G"
Terrible news. RIP... I remember him coming to our house party on Benjamin St, as a cop to ask to thin out the mass of people.

LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
Hail. Vada, a true champion in life. We all regeret it was too short, but in our hearts always. Hail.
Live in Michigan, Work in ND suburb of South Bend.
Rest in Peace. Thoughts and prayers for the Murray family and the whole Wolverine family. You'll be missed by many.
RIP Vada. Thoughts are with your family. Go Blue!
Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel my way through
Saw this, and said "Oh, no" out loud. My condolences to his family.
Not only a great Wolverine, but one of the best cops I've ever seen, and from all indications, a wonderful family man. I'm sorry to hear he's taken away from his wife and kids too soon. All the strength I can will to them.
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk

RIP
