Hopefully it changes....
"It's not about last year or who's here or who's isn't here," says your head coach. "It's about getting out here and competing and seeing who is here, and that's where we're gonna go."
Hopefully it changes....
I don't remember a graph of the last year of riot statuses being there when I first discovered that site after they lost to UNC last season.
Good to know they're making improvements.
The 'might be' a riot moment! I remember that fondly.
who actually does this site? Is it really an MSU affiliated website?
The msu.edu part might mean it's affiliated with msu. I'll check into it for you.
From the looks of the url it is someone with the MSU uniqname or whatever they use of "creswel1". I know we could have something like www.personal.umich.edu/~uniqname. In Comm 101 or one of those goofy classes you had to set up a very basic website.
...to update the riot status.
no matter how many times you visit the site.
a riot brewing. 13 minutes ago:
It appears a huge communal couch fire is underway and can be seen from its satellites. No video feed available at this time.
If it's good enough for Scout, I guess it's good enough for MgoBlog.
Some original material would be fitting for a board so full of "Michigan Graduates" LOLZ
I was also at buffalo wild wings in Monroe and a go greengo white chant started. I doubt any of them graduated from msu.
I don't get your post but I think you're a butt hurt sparty.. Shouldn't you be burning a couch or burning rcmb to the ground?
Yes, you do Michigan proud--if that's where you pretend to have graduated from.
Leaders and Best.
Says the dude from Nebraska.
Yes, I fail to see why a real-estate agent in Omaha who moonlights as a 17 year old female on Myspace, who, also, did not graduate from Michigan, is so concerned.
Damn someone has a quick trigger finger tonight.
his comments were a variety of actual topic material and minor trolling comments. like 7:1. and then he got pissy. likely just an MSU fan who decided to all out troll after the loss.
Impossible. All MSU fans are alumni and/or current students. They NEVER get bandwagon fans.
In the past year there has definitely been a riot...
I just had to take a little stroll over to Facebook to see if any of my friends had hanged themselves yet. I'm from Lansing, and the overwhelming majority of them are Spartan fans. And for the record, about 99.9% of them are NOT alumni (surprise, surprise). To see them bitching is sweet but annoying. Like they deserved to win after committing 20 turnovers. That's karma for Spartan Bob, AND 12 men on the field. Eat it. Hopefully, this is just one of many dong punches coming their way.
yea you know you have hit a low when you take joy in trolling facebook statuses from people you haven't talked to in years, just to comment "GO BUTLER" on anything MSU related.
But hey, I'll take it at this point in the year, I'm just glad I don't have to watch MSU ruin another national title game in Buckeye football fashion. It's a strange feeling as a Michigan fan, I imagine it's what a Michigan State fan feels like most of the time.
there are two lines of officers in riot gear. Violence or no, this sounds like a riot to me.
hey dumbasses, if you don't like the reputation of rioting or of police claiming, WHY ARE YOU STANDING AROUND WATCHING AND WAITING FOR DUMB SHIT TO START
They do like the reputation.
For the same reason people slow down to look at automobile accidents. They're douchebags.
My friend that goes there saw "multiple couches burning."
amy_laurieux so, i'm in need of weed, DARK liquor, a baseball bat, & a gas mask. who got me? #CEDARFEST. -_-.
about 2 hours ago from web
1) infinitive verb conjugation
2) wrong spelling of verb
3) article/noun agreement
Probably those "non-Spartans" again.
We need to go there and yell Go Bulldogs to all those sad little Spartans.
we probably don't want to INCITE a riot.
After all, that would waste all the hard work of those couch makers.
Think of all of the new couches/cars/etc things that would have to be made!
No mention of the EPA being there to ensure only ethanol gas is being used.
12:18 am update:
The crowd has now turned hostile — throwing bottles at police officers going into the crowd to make arrests — and the police have formed a riot line in the middle of the street. The Michigan State Police have a tear gas launcher ready to go and also have industrial canisters of pepper spray at the ready. Sounds like things could turn ugly fast. The crowds are chanting obscenities at the police.
Here we go...
It would be the least meritorious riot in the history of Sparty. They have no reason to be pissed. The stars aligned just right for them to reach the Final Four; their team played tough the last few weeks; their team represented the conference and the state well; they've been here before; no student on campus was around for the ostensible "excuses" for the last riots (banning alcohol on Munn, etc.). Pull yourselves together, go home, and prepare to get blasted in the Big House this fall.
...you look for any excuse to riot. There's not much else there to do
Sounds like the riot is over:
12:52 am update:
The police have moved in and begun dispersing the crowd, which seems to be following instructions and dispersing without any need for tear gas or pepper spray. There are small pockets of resistance at this point, but the crowd has dwindled down to around 1,000 people and shrinking.
Just because you didnt graduate from a school does not mean you cannot be a fan or cheer for them. The people that say that should be beaten. I have a degree from emu but i am the biggest michigan fan ever. Only because i love the schools tradition and how things are at michigan. SO PLEASE dont be ignorant and make a dumb comment like that again.
You call that a riot? Ugh, I expected more from my fellow Spartys. I fully expected them to start a couple of fires, maybe smash a few storefronts, then blame the police 6 months later in the paper by saying they "escalated" the event from peaceful, grass-roots celebration of a good season into the disgusting display of drunken stupidity that you see on the news.
Hash Bash > Cedar Fest
They are both overrated.
