I tihnk it's a great place for him;  He'll be a star against easier competition. Hopefully, Michigan doesn't draw them in the NCAA Tournament while he is there.  Everyone in the building and the media would be cheering for FGCU and Doyle's "tale of redemption."

I literally said this when the transfer was announced and was laughed off stage because "he doesn't fit the FGCU style..." I mean you would be crazy to think Florida Gulf Coast University would say no to a kid who grew up there, is homesick, and has started 20+ games for the Michigan Wolverines.

I remember this.  People were ridiculing you, torches and pitchforks in hand.  "You're a fool!" they jeered, "there is no room for speculation here!"

I'm glad you got back on your feet.  Your's truly is a tale of redemption.

He's basically from Fort Myers so this makes sense from a geographical standpoint.  Will be interesting to see how he fits into the "Dunk City" style of play.

Good for Ricky to go home.  He could have an excellent career down there.  Once he gets his sleep apnea under control he will probably play better, especially at a more appropriate level of competition.

It's pretty hot and humid there. I don't know how that will work with his sweating problem. That said, he should be able to dominate at the lower level of competition and hopefully we see him in the tournament in a couple years.
