...but they dunk a lot...

Dunk City moved on to USC three years ago. They're now coached by a former Self assistant--the tempo's a lot slower and their best player last year was a banger, not a dunker.
seems like quite a dropoff from B1G.
Good luck to him, however.
I tihnk it's a great place for him; He'll be a star against easier competition. Hopefully, Michigan doesn't draw them in the NCAA Tournament while he is there. Everyone in the building and the media would be cheering for FGCU and Doyle's "tale of redemption."
I literally said this when the transfer was announced and was laughed off stage because "he doesn't fit the FGCU style..." I mean you would be crazy to think Florida Gulf Coast University would say no to a kid who grew up there, is homesick, and has started 20+ games for the Michigan Wolverines.
I remember this. People were ridiculing you, torches and pitchforks in hand. "You're a fool!" they jeered, "there is no room for speculation here!"
I'm glad you got back on your feet. Your's truly is a tale of redemption.
But here we are still right about everything and wrong about nothing. It's a tough life to live but someone has to do it.
A blessing and a curse.
How dare you point out a correct prediction you've made on an internet full of wrong predictions.
He's basically from Fort Myers so this makes sense from a geographical standpoint. Will be interesting to see how he fits into the "Dunk City" style of play.
The coach from Dunk City left for USC immediately following the one NCAA tournment where this school referred to as Dunk City. It's no longer Dunk City.
As far as I (and probably most of the country) am concerned, FGCU will always be Dunk City!
I hope does well and continues his treatment for sleep apnea and improves his overall health.
with his sleep apnea being taken care of this allows him to get back to the level he was playing at and beyond from his freshman year.

Good for Ricky to go home. He could have an excellent career down there. Once he gets his sleep apnea under control he will probably play better, especially at a more appropriate level of competition.

I did the math and checked it twice and he has 3 years left in Florida.
he will sleep better.
The UM to Florida school transfer pipeline is a thing?
It's pretty hot and humid there. I don't know how that will work with his sweating problem. That said, he should be able to dominate at the lower level of competition and hopefully we see him in the tournament in a couple years.
nothing epitomizes dunk city like ricky doyle. great pick up.
maybe someone will love me.
Probably not.
Best of luck to him and this seems to be a good move, it's a good fit both in terms of competition and being close to home.
