Rick Pitino wants to coach again - per Jeff Goodman

Submitted by Indy Pete - Go Blue on

Rick is looking for another job...

"The level doesn't matter to me," the former Louisville coach said on Friday. "I just need it to be someone who believes in me."

And more classy quotes:

"Every night I go to bed, I'm bitter at the U.S. attorney's office and at the 'board of traitors' at Louisville," Pitino said. "I'm not bitter at the school, but at the board of traitors."

"I've been assassinated by the Southern District of N.Y. without any wiretap or shred of evidence, and the University of Louisville."

I hope he never coaches in college again because:

A) He is dirty and bad for amateur athletics

B) I LOVE that his final college game was a loss as a 2 seed to 7 seeded Michigan.  Beilein is the Anti-Pitino, it could not have been any more fitting.

College Basketball could use this storyline, because it’s mostly irrelevant. The tournament only feels relevant to me because Michigan is playing well.

Some guys that achieve great success lose all perspective and humility. This guys falls into a special category and it’s not impressive. His grip has become blurred.

I was going to say let him teach at a high school. But he would somehow corrupt that too im sure. Its a shame because he would be a wealth of Basketball knowledge, its just too bad the scum that is all over him would have to go with it .

would be about the same impact, and equally true, too.   he also wants people to believe in him.  they look the same.  same level of honesty and sincerity.  after a point the similarities start to scare you....

Izzo's gonna have to retire so he can fight the war on litterbugs.

MSU is tone deaf when it comes to basketball and football, so of course they will jump at a chance to hire a HoF coach.

The sad thing is, even though he should never coach again, he will definitely get another job. Good coaches are a limited commodity and an win-desperate AD who feels like he can sell the idea of hiring Pitino to his boosters definitely will do it.

I heard Nassar is looking for work, so he has his team physician all set. Chuck Person is an experienced assistant. Etc. I believe they too were "assassinated" without a "shred of evidence." A group like that would make a great team.

Good coach but a total piece of shit. Also you’re not likely to get hired if you call your former bosses traitors, any prospective boss is going to wonder whether you’ll throw him under the bus too.

Is bitter that he banged a bar maid on table, as well.

He was a traitor to his wife in a disgusting way.

Any place that hires this scumbag deserves anything bad,

that happens to their program. His rep is not clean.

Prime example of a criminal with no remorse whatsover.

I hope he doesn't find another job, and if a school is stupid enough to hire him, eternal failure for them.
