I believe this came out of his regular chat with a local Seattle Sports Radio morning show host (Mitch Levy). Mitch had written a song about Harbaugh, set to the music of "Gangnam Style" called "Harbaugh Douchebag Style" (remember that Seattle and SF had a big rivalry going).

Neuheisel said during the last talk together that he was going to write a song about Harbaugh as well (Neuheisel had performed his own song on this show before). Didn't realize it was going to be this good.

This is about as awesome and as strangely awkward as the SotS's today. Amazing!

Who remembers 14 months ago? And now former coaches are singing songs in honor of harbaugh's NCAA football revolution.

Wow, this is incredible and will be remembered for a very long time.

This is not new for Neuheisel, I've heard him sing and play the guitar before on a radio show, probably Dan Patrick. This is actually not his best work from a musical standpoint, though I'd have to say it's my favorite from a lyrical and subject matter standpoint.

Our guy clearly has better name recognition than half the people running for the GOP nomination.

Jim to the American people:  "WHO HAS IT BETTER THAN US(A)?"

'Murica:  "NOBODY!"   (except for a few tiny voices whispering:  "Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, maybe the Danes.")

The only thing I didn't love about that was the line about sleeping with recruits. It just sounds bad. OTOH, it was pretty funny when Harbaugh (earlier at SOTS) talked about sleeping in Nordin's sister's bed, and quickly followed up by assuring everyone she wasn't there. Awkwardly hilarious.

Ok, Neuheisel has rehabilitated himself, imho.

I still cannot picture him actually sitting down and doing this, with all that he should have going on in his life, but good lyrics and pretty good voice.

Strange.

In the 90's, when Michigan played Neuheisel's Colorado teams, I remember Gameday doing features on him as the cool young coach who played guitar with his players. Then he went to Washington and got a Pete Carroll type reputation..."Come play for me and I'll give you a car." That earned him the nickname 'Slick Rick,' and I ripped on him plenty of times.

So we have this and Lou Holtz actually being enjoyable this afternoon. I feel like I'm in backwards world. What's going to happen next? Is Charlie Weis going to write Harbaugh a poem?

was (paraphrasing here) he ran up to shake hands with Neuheisel post game and instead slapped him hard on the back, exclaimed "Whad'ya think about that, Ricky?" and then sprinted off.  LOL.

In high school we went to the rocky horror picture almost every other weekend ( the weekends I didn't I told my parents i did as it allowed be to be out until 2 w/o calling in).

Rocky horror will never be the same. This was awesome!! Spread it through your social media accounts and we will hear it in the big house next year.

Wouldn't be awesome if the mmb started playing it and the crowd knew the words!!

This:

  • completely changes my opinion of Rick Neuheisel
  • provides an opportunity for someone to make a great hype video
  • made me want to throw rice

This has to become a thing!
