Can't watch it. Luckily my son prefers Thomas. He's too young to understand just how much of a bastard Thomas really is.

in Chuggington. Trains shouldn't be jumping up and down on the tracks.
I remember Thomas being narrated by Ringo Starr and George Carlin. Good times.

the strangest conversation I've ever had on this site. Two grown men, discussing the finer points and relative merits of two train cartoons.
What the hell kind of train in real life jumps five feet up in the air without all of its passengers dying a horrible death?

Since you guys are bringing up Thomas the Train! 2 years ago Thomas was near Houston and i took my 2 boys to the event. There is a real train that looks exactly like Thomas that tours the country and you can ride the train for about 30 mins! If anyone with kids really cares.

Saw him twice with my son in Baltimore and PA Dutch country.
Thomas is lame, but the other steam engines they have around are very impressive. They are 125 years old, but they are a real technology. There is quite a bit of presicion and engineering to them. You and your buddies couldn't just go to Home Depot and build a steam engine.

It's all Tumble Leaf and The Adventures of Chuck for my little guy. I'll have to check out Chuggington.

He may have felt that way a few years ago. But as time goes on he may start to feel that desire to compete for championships- something I can't imagine being possible at Arizona. Of course, I'm not sure if it's really possible at SC either but maybe he doesn't know that.

The SEC East (like the Big Ten West) is a pretty wide open. The PAC-12 South, where Arizona is at best the 4th most prestigious program and likely 5th, would be much more difficult to win. The fact that he did it is pretty remarkable.

but in the same way very similar to West Virginia. He may get faster (read: SEC!!) players at USC east and make his spread offense work better. That said, he still needs a defense.

South Carolina isn't a great program, but there is far more local high school talent in the state, and surrounding states, than there is in Arizona. At UA he's got to duke it out for Southern California recruits with 50 other schools.

coaching in every Power Conference. If he takes the SC job, he will have coached in the Big East, Big Ten, Pac 12 and SEC. That only leaves the Big 12. He may not get there but he's already been there and back with all the schools he's competed against.

a great fit for his style. He is closer to old recruiting ties which is bonus

What does it really matter? He recruits the same players no matter where he is. Same undersized 3 start prospects. He will never complete for a championship unless he catches lightening in a bottle. Any advantage he might have had in the infancy of the spread offense is gone now that everyone runs (and by extension) defends some aspects of it. Now he runs out teams that can't match up talentwise with the big boys. That is what you always got with RichRod and that is what you will always get.

Why do you say that? He's always been pretty restless. He nearly left WVU for Alabama, then left for Michigan the next year. Then right before we fired him, he flirted with Maryland. Given that pattern, I'm not sure why anyone would expect him to be a lifer at a second-tier program like Arizona.

well he does have coaching experience in the state of South Cackalacka
