RichRod is getting Barwisized

Submitted by ertai on

According to the Freep, RichRod has been working out with Barwis since the spring. After the health issues of Meyer and Dantonio, it's good that he's been working to improve his own health.

Also, BARWIS!

Rodriguez, 47, said he sleeps five hours a night if he's fortunate, no more than in a three-hour stretch, because of the constant thoughts about his program.

So how does he keep up his health?

Mostly through his own workouts, five days a week in the early morning on a StairMaster at Schembechler Hall. In the spring, he began lifting weights with U-M strength coach Mike Barwis and said he feels better now than he has in a long time.

No but seriously it is good to see RR works out with Barwis. Being a college football coach, especially at a big time program like Michigan is stressful. From what I have heard, Dantonio was in good shape as well. I don't believe the MSU coach would ever be under the same microscope as a Michigan coach, especially when MSU fans treat Dantonio like a god. All that being said, I really do hope Dantonio makes a full recovery and this never happens to RR.

RR is a very hard working coach both on and off the field.  I'm proud to have him as our football coach.  Kids see RR working hard in the weight room and I'm sure that makes them go extra hard.  Can you imagine if you played for Mark Mangino and he's just sitting at his desk doing supersized fry curls?  It's no wonder Turner Gill is in trouble.

If we would just dip RichRod in a vat of Barwis' urine we'd basically have the Ulysses of college football.

As a side note, I truly believe in the healing powers of Barwis' urine.

Piss on you REMIX!

He's looking good, no homo. I was actually surprised at how fit and slim he was looking. My girlfriend had similar comments. He looks much younger than 47. I wish I had Barwis training me for free.

Training with Barwis or getting kicked in the head by Chuck Norris?  I say the former because a kick is just a one-time occurrence whereas the training sessions are arguably regular occurrences.  Of course, with a kick to the head there is always the possibility of death . . .  But, depending on the shape you are in (or not in), there could also be such a thing as death by Barwis . . .
