Rich Rods job security

A friend of mine is friends with a person who is very close with Bill Martin, and he told me that RR will be at Michigan the length of his contract regardless of the new AD change. So all you RR haters out there can shut up.

I can't speak for all Victors Club members, especially the highest rollers. I will speak for myself, a mid-level Victorsub Club member, M Club member, double degree grad, and triple M parent. As much as I liked Lloyd, he left the cupboard pretty bare on the defensive side. Rich Rod has succeeded everywhere he has been and I like how G Rob used every play as a teaching moment. I think he will eventually succeed. That said, if we don't get to a bowl game next year I think the pressure will be exceedingly great to make a move. The problem with doing that is that we are now committed to the spread personnel-wise. It would be difficult to make a change unless things really to south.

I know the team is young but I would like to see some real improvement in 2010. I know there is chance for our team to finish below .500 next season, but hopefully we will have more b10 wins and not finish in the basement. No matter what, RR better have a winning record in 2011. I think he will be gone at the end of the 2011 season if he finishes below .500 in both 2010 and 2011. However, I think the team will be heading in the right direction in 2010. I know the defense will be young and we could lose some tight games and finish below .500 next season, but the team will probably finish with 8 or more wins in 2011 and seriously compete for the b10 in 2012 and beyond, hopefully a NC as well!
