He's going to FIRE HIMSELF

I had similar question last week. What I was told is RR pressers are Mon and Thurs and another coach on Wed (GERG last week). I'm sure it'll be on mgoblue.com and Tim will have tidbits shortly after it's over. You can follow him on Twitter during the presser.

End some speculation. End some speculation. End some speculation.
I don't even care which of the thousand speculations he ends, just please end one of them. Tell us JT Turner just wasn't into football at this level. Tell us Tate's tweaked his hamstring. Tell us the gold jerseys are being used in the night game against ND. Tell us anything.

I have some quotes from his upcoming press conference:
"I know this sounds like 'coach-speak' but it's not"
"The quarterbacks are splitting snaps 60-40"
"We hope to have at least 2 players at each positions that are ready to compete"
"Some guys still need to get into shape, nobody is in game shape yet, but we hope they are in 20 days"
"The players are starting to play faster"
"The NCAA asked us not to comment on the proceedings. It went well, now we just have to wait for their findings.
August 16th, 2010 at 3:56 PM ^
you forgot one " I am only going to talk about players who play for Michigan"
August 16th, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
"We gotta play 'em one day at a time."
"I just wanta give it my best shot and, Good Lord willing, things'll work out."
August 16th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
Hope I can help the ball club.

good things from a number of players."
"There are a number of things we need to improve on."
"there is competition to start at every position."
"The plans to slip Greg Robinson a sedative and trade scalps with him while he's under are in motion."
"Whoops. Did I just say that out loud?"
August 16th, 2010 at 4:13 PM ^
Please be:
"Now why would you ask a stupid question like that?"
August 16th, 2010 at 5:01 PM ^
Haha...thank you for this.
August 16th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
"It'll probably be a couple of weeks into the season before we decide on the depth chart at a few positions."
"Tate's been in camp. He's a little banged up, but he's been working hard... all three of them have been working hard."
"We've been making some plays in practice."
"It's the third year in the system, so players seem to be picking things up faster. We've installed most of our offense."
"Randy Edsell is a punk. There, I said it. Whatcha gonna do about it, Randy?"
August 16th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
For sure, but if I got to choose, it would be WTF is going on with Tate? Then preferably it's just a small, nagging injury that won't be a problem come 9/4.

"Some of our helmets got wings."
August 16th, 2010 at 4:30 PM ^
The presser time was moved to 6:15 due to some practice time changes.
As far as I know it's just one of his normal meetings with the media and not anything special.
August 16th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
Correct on both counts.

plays like throwing the bomb.
August 16th, 2010 at 6:22 PM ^
...from @MVictors. Highlights so far:
Blue helmets as motivating tool is for real.
No RB has separated himself yet.
Roy Roundtree looking good.
#1 Jersey in semi-retirement.
August 16th, 2010 at 6:49 PM ^
Ugh, time to really start the wild speculation.
August 16th, 2010 at 6:29 PM ^
varsityblue Overall level of play on the OL has to get better. RR hinted that Dorrestein and Huyge are holding onto tackle spots for now.
varsityblue More praise for Stonum: "He's had an outstanding camp so far." RR hasn't put any thought into #1 jersey since Braylon flap.
August 16th, 2010 at 6:48 PM ^
varsityblue Patrick Omameh said the offensive line has some of the best leadership on the team. Molk coming back is big for that.
varsityblue Omameh: Denard still has the speed and quickness, and has added knowledge of the playbook.
varsityblue Omameh also said both tackle spots seem open. Lewan, Huyge at LT; Dorrestein, Schofield, and Huyge at RT.

If true, that would represent a departure from our assumption that Lewan and Dorrestein were battling at LT.

MVictors Mike Martin at the mic. I'm pretty sure his helmet has wings.
August 16th, 2010 at 7:22 PM ^
@jkatzenstein Rich Rod: only players wearing wings on their helmets will run out the tunnel this season. Must earn them.
@jkatzenstein Rich Rod on number of players without wings on helmet: "It's a team thing."
varsityblue Mike Martin talked about his competitions with David Molk - They challenge each other in the weight room and on the field.
varsityblue Martin also said the DLine has lots of ways to get to the QB. There won't be just one standout like Brandon Graham.
@jkatzenstein Omameh weighed in at 298 today, expecting to be 300 tomorrow. Came in at 251
@jkatzenstein G Patrick Omameh: O-line ahead in leadership, not necessarily performance

...have stopped. Expect write ups from Tim here, Greg at MVictors.com. Perhaps they'll use some video of this for tomorrow's countdown to kickoff?
No tweets from anyone from A2.com which seems odd.
Katzenstein was covering for Chengelis.
August 16th, 2010 at 7:28 PM ^
According to the MVictors interview of Russ Hawkins, Schutt shipped three blue helmets to Michigan. Can we assume this is all of the blue helmets? If so, who are the other 2?
August 16th, 2010 at 7:29 PM ^
...expect them to make a big deal out of this and continue to try to stoke the "QB controversy".
