Rich Rod Bleacher Report Article
I thought this was a pretty decent article. Nothing new reported. I just like to have people put a positive spin on things instead of constantly bashing Rich Rod.

You beat me to it!
...the Brave Sir Robin?
and last time the football program is metaphorically referred to as a "princess."
you on that one. Or at the very least we can be the trophy wife.
That was bleacher report!?
Is it a rule that every sentence in Bleacher Report articles gets its own paragraph?
I wrote a few articles for BR a while back just for fun, and their list of rules/guidelines were a complete joke.
In addition to the one or two sentences per paragraph limit, you were supposed to include the name of a team/player/coach in your title, rather than you know, be creative. So for instance if you wanted to give a little literary homage to Hemingway and title your article "Death in the Afternoon," they would edit it to read something like "Michigan vs. Toledo: Death in the Afternoon," thereby killing the original intent.
Have you ever heard of the search aspect of the internets? I wouldn't likely google "Death" or "Afternoon" to learn about Michigan vs Toledo. Wait, scratch that first example.
...this was much ado about stretching? Hmmm. (Not that the Freep would "stretch" the truth or anything!)
pissed herself over the video.
Some puttz from Scout wrote that. He put it on their board last night ssking for a lil tallywhacker-stroking from the rest of the Scouties.
kthx
Worst. Metaphor. Ever.
the lame-ass metaphor. The guy should have just stuck to the last half of his piece and forgot knights, kings, queens and princesses.
Imagine what you think is gonna be the legitimate best season RR has this year.
Take that 3 year combined record. Imagine it was Lloyd's. You know -- you KNOW -- if that was so, you'd be at the AD's office with torches and pitchforks.
Done is done. Like it or not.
These articles will remain until the end of 2010, when RR is out.
I guess I agree with the sentiment, but this reads like a 5th grader's essay the week they had the metaphor lesson. I couldn't even finish it.
(Sorry, no yellow box)
"If anything, Rodriguez and the University of Michigan should be extremely proud of this allegation cause it truly is one to hang your hat on."
Didn't someone at mgoblog, possibly Brian, say this almost verbatim when the report came out? I wonder if the BR dude got this from mgoblog?
As Brian has said all along, the nut of this is the QC staff allegation.
The B/R bit about the QC staff is confusing. Four of the guys listed Braithwaite, Hott, Smith and Wright) in the NCAA allegations all came from WVU. Two (Ison and McClain apparently were outside hires. None had previously be on the QC staff at Michigan prior to Rodriguez's arrival. Herron came over from WVU as well. So even if the position and role of QC assistant was inherited from the Carr regime, the people were not.

It would really be nice if we had the facts behind the assertion that the QC staff reported elsewhere in the Athletic Department, same for the assertion that QC staff responsibilities as they were being executed pre-dated Rodriguez. If this truly is the case, then Rich is totally acquitted in my book.
Interestingly, Braithwaite is now an assistant coach, and Hott and Smith are now GAs (i.e., they didn't get moved to Staff Intern like Herron and Ison did). McClain left and is now Tight Ends Coach at Tulsa (good for him).
Isn't it a knight in shining armor?
