Revisting Stauskas Commitment Comments
Just for fun, good to revisit the Stauskas comments now that all the folks are making the White Rice and Larry Bird comments...Great to have a player that can shoot like that again. Go Blue!

in his welcome thread. I predicted he would put up 22 @ Bradley in his first career start.

I deleted that comment. Witchcraft is against board rules.

Looks like you must've pulled mine too cause i clearly remember writing the following:
"Stauskas is a fantastic get for Michigan and despite his "under the radar" status on the recruiting boards he's a gamer. He'll fit tremendously in Coach B's offense as he's vitually automatic from the arc and doesnt mind taking the ball to the hole if given an opening. An average defender he'll get a few rebounds but that's not what what'll keep him getting significant minutes this season. The kid is a scoring machine and if you dont know who he is now you soon will."
Or something like that.

I don't look too bad in that post, my more off the mark comments came later. I always thought Stauskas would be good, but I though he would need a couple of years of college S&C to get there.

So who won the argument about how tall Glenn Robinson III would be?

We need a good nickname for Nik, and his last name offers much fodder. I still stand by StauskICE as it flows nicely with his normal name enunciation save change the sound of one vowel. And the kid really is ICE. He will play on Sundays without question and I bet he goes down as one of UM's greatest players ever. Bold, but his game just gives that vibe.

my 11 y/o son uses his youtube videos to practice his own basketball. he's been a real inspiration for my son. This Christmas we're buying a Burke jersey for him b/c they don't have Stauskas... but next year, I expect one will be available.

that I put this together. But you probably won't remember. Either way, I predicted he'd start.

I wasn't too far off base with my post in that thread and I was actually pretty excited for his commitment. With that said, I did not think that he would look this good this early in his college career.
