Rematch with Penn State.

Rematch with Wisconsin

Likely rematch with Indiana

Close it all with MSU/OSU.

Lets do this

We need to get a B1G Tournament banner added to the collection at Crisler. We already have one, but it's buried in the basement of Bentley Library.

I want blood. Michigan, this is it. 3-0 in neutral site games. Time to protect that record and show them why you smoked a current top-10 team back at the Garden.

Maybe if we get to play Michigan State in the championship, and it's a close game, we can have one of our players run into Izzo, and finally get our technical foul call that we didn't get against Indiana or Ohio State.

IU has had ALL SORTS of trouble with Minnesota this year. Would not be shocked to see Minny go through that matchup if it comes to be since IU is pretty much guaranteed a 1 and Minny will need it for seeding.

Perfect bracket.  Sets up for a run of revenge.  Take out PSU, then Wicy, then Indiana and then either OSU or MSU.  So long as MSU or OSU come out of the bottom of the bracket, we'll have a good chance to play 4 of the 5 teams that have beaten us this year.

This is not the worst thing in the world.  The worst thing, of course, is playing that extra game.  But:

PSU Revenge.

Wiscy Revenge (and the team I fear least out of the Top 5).

IU?

MSU/OSU?

I do expect us to win the first two games.  Then... it's IU again and I would like to watch it one more time.

2nd round IU will be playing a team that beat them this year.

Wisconsin will be playing a team they lucked out against.

Iowa and Purdue are playing much better late in the season.

Saturday is in question for every team in this thing.

how long before some dipshit posts a "this really is a good thing" type thread in an effort to try and convince everyone we're better off losing?

I'm giving it till 9:00.

For the showboat dunk at the end? This tem doesn't do revenge so well, turning losses into squeaker wins at best.

The Big Ten Tourney is a cash grab joke that only matters in the least if you win the whole thing and then get to hang a banner. And that chance probably become impossible with an extra game to win.

They really want some "revenge"? Go further in the NCAA Tournment than any other Big Ten team. That's our season now.

(edit: TV time wise it also looks like no one, recruit or otherwise, will even see one of our games till Saturday since we've been bounced out of primetime)

Penn State is playing well right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we laid an egg after this emotional roller coaster of a game.

Wish list:

1. We DESTROY Penn St by at least 30 points.

2. McGary throws the ball all the way from our side of the court for a buzzer-beating game-winner against Wisconsin. Bo Ryan responds by tackling his own mascot.

3. Morgan goes for 20+ against IU including 5 put-back dunks over Zeller. We cruise comfortably.

4. The B1G lets MSU and Ohio team up and play against Michigan in the finals. Burke goes for 40+ and 10+ steals. The halftime show is a foot-race down the floor between Ravenel and Nix. Nix wins by punching Ravenel in the crotch when the refs aren't looking. Nix then proceeds to go into the stands and punch Zeller in the crotch again. Refs are fine with this. 2nd half, Stauskas goes 12-for-12 from three and we host our tournament title while Kate Upton gives each Michigan fan in attendance a 20-second hug.

The three teams that screwed us this year (Penn State, Wisconsin for sure, and Indiana probably) we will be playing. Lets do this.

Here would be the average probabilities of several runs of the TeamRankings algorithm as of the last update. I presume it doesn't cover today's results, but this still might be a good approximation of their model:

Seed Team Quarter Semi Champ Win
1 Indiana 100.00% 81.51% 58.54% 42.79%
2 Ohio State 99.47% 74.22% 40.75% 17.45%
3 Michigan St 100.00% 73.84% 36.95% 13.72%
4 Wisconsin 96.25% 51.26% 18.94% 9.32%
5 Michigan 96.35% 57.72% 24.74% 11.14%
6 Iowa 74.05% 21.13% 7.31% 1.54%
7 Purdue 62.28% 11.34% 2.81% 0.40%
8 Illinois 44.32% 8.56% 2.98% 0.81%
9 Minnesota 64.78% 14.24% 6.14% 2.77%
10 Nebraska 28.62% 2.47% 0.31% 0.02%
11 Northwestern 25.95% 3.03% 0.50% 0.04%
12 Penn State 7.93% 0.66% 0.03% 0.00%

Even given these numbers, ours is not a bad path, I would think, especially on a neutral court, and hopefully it entails doing something to help mend some unfortunate memories.

is much tougher than bottom, where we would be (as #3 seed) if we won today PLUS we'd have a piece of  B1G regular season title for 2nd year in a row so forgive me if I'm not overly excited about a potential 'revenge tour." Todays loss was HUGE,especially the way we gave it away to the biggest Douchbag coach in America.
