Right now, I hate you with a fiery passion that is usually reserved for OSU fans.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
I have to put it in writting that i hate the OSU team. Oops type. My bad.
Go Blue
September 16th, 2010 at 1:08 PM ^
Since the word coming out of fall camp was that he was the clear cut #1 back, I am thinking he may be the Slaton to Denard's Pat White. Thus the ensuing straw(Fitz) landing on opposing teams defenses backs(Camels) and rendereing it helpless.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:15 PM ^
I don't think it was ever truly identified that he was the clear #1 back. You have a source for this information?
September 16th, 2010 at 1:25 PM ^
I believe FormerWolv reported that Fitz was the number 1 back before his injury.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
I just tracked down where I read that. It can be attributed to formerwolve. The article it came from was the RB preview.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:39 PM ^
boy i hope he is better than hart comming in
September 16th, 2010 at 1:08 PM ^
Remember back in the day when threads were meaningful and chock full of interesting and intellectual conversation.... seems like ages ago doesn't it??
September 16th, 2010 at 1:14 PM ^
I remember those days. The point total should be moved from 20 to 100 for posting.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
I don't have a lot of points, but that doesn't mean that myself, and others with low totals don't know what they are talking about. I've been reading this site since every day for four years. So what that I don't post often? Just because you have 400,000 posts doesn't make you any more welcome here, or any smarter about college football.
Please quit generalizing.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:38 PM ^
It's not for replying to comments (how would you get points to begin with?); it's to keep people from starting new threads like this one. Hopefully after posting 100 or so times, they would have a better understanding of how the board works, rather than just posting whatever thought pops into their head.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:44 PM ^
Exactly.
In the time that I read this post, the following thoughts popped into my head:
"I really like Michigan football."
"Denard is very fast."
"Why hasn't Brian posted the offensive UFR yet? I can't wait forever to have my lunch. I am getting hungry."
"Is 12-0 possible? Probably not, but who knows. Man that would be cool."
"I would like to get some M&Ms from the snack machine, but I don't really feel like getting up and going all the way down the hall."
"I really like Michigan football."
Notice how I didn't start a thread about any of these things?
September 16th, 2010 at 1:43 PM ^
Post away, your point total will change accordingly. Why is it that everyone has to immediately presume some injury every time something does not agree with them. I'd support an increase in the points as well, but I think 1000 might be about right.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:50 PM ^
I don't presume any injuries when "something" doesn't agree with me. I usually just presume that I might be getting sick.
/s sorry but I was really confused how that sentence fit in.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
I mean I hate to be that guy but, honestly does this contribute in ANY way to the board?
There are no links to anything.
There is just pure speculation.
You don't even give your own opinion.
Sorry but if you want to post your own thread, try to mimic the others on here who know what they're doing. You've only been a member for 3 weeks, and I understand your best idea of a thread is the shit that's already on the board, but really, reeeaallly look around, particularly in the diaries to see what is appropriate.
I don't mean to be a dick either, but damn, I swear this board is starting to make me question why I come here every 10 minutes...
September 16th, 2010 at 1:17 PM ^
Everyone just wants to post because they can. It's fucking stupid. Learn how to search the fucking board so it doesn't get littered with crap posts!
Gosh I should not be this upset, but I've been penting this up for awhile now...
September 16th, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
September 16th, 2010 at 1:17 PM ^
Threads were way better just a matter of months ago. Seems like most of the threads now have nothing of substance. Give me something hilarious or thought provoking. Not ones like "Will Denard be first or second ballot HOF in the NFL??"
September 16th, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
Thats y as an old fart has no input
September 16th, 2010 at 7:44 PM ^
This is all Denard's fault.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
If a player has never seen the field, can it really be referred to as a "return"?
Try this great site for your query: http://www.mlive.com
September 16th, 2010 at 1:12 PM ^
Before I stopped watching it, the "experts" on ESPNU kept saying that Robinson is Batman, but still needs to find his Robin. Hopefully this will be Fitz so they can stop using that idiotic analogy.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:01 PM ^
On the bright side, at least they didn't say the Adam West Batman.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
I love that picture more than I love taffy...and I'm a man who loves his taffy.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:46 PM ^
But if Fitz turns out to be his Robin, wouldn't they just talk about how UM has a Batman and a Robin? I guess I'm saying you can't hope to stop the idiocy of sports "journalists;" you can only hope it doesn't drive you to eat a muzzle.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:13 PM ^
Toussaint's High School Coach: He can catch, he can run, he has got speed. They believe that he has the right characteristics to fit that style of offense. I would say he is similar to the Noel Devine kid that Rich had down at West Virginia. He’s very very fast, not quite as big, but he can move. I think he ran a 10.58 electronic 100 meters as a sophomore.”
September 16th, 2010 at 1:17 PM ^
He said he's not as big as Devine? Wait, what?
September 16th, 2010 at 5:34 PM ^
Based on the syntax I don't think the coach meant to say that Touissant is not as big as Devine, but rather that Touissant is "not as big" compared to the mythical standard D-I tailback.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:18 PM ^
Fitz at 5'10" 200 is not quite as big as Noel Devine at 5'8" 180?
Edit: icefins beat me to it. Preppy.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:25 PM ^
That quote from his coach was back when he was out of HS.. when he was roughly the same size as devine or smaller
September 16th, 2010 at 1:17 PM ^
And yes, that's a Big Ten Championship ring he's after.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:20 PM ^
say? Anything less than best back I have ever seen, would be a dissapointment
September 16th, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
he has Tyrone Wheatley's speed, Biakabutuka's big play ability, Chris Perry's jukes, Mike Hart's toughness, Brandon Minor's rage and unparallelled field vision.
Barry Sanders' dad, however, says he's no Jim Brown.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:47 PM ^
Don't forget that he smells of lilac and rose hip. I'm just sayin'. Fred Jackson told me that.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
He has great potential, and I am convinced that the more we build him up here without having seen him play one down, the better he will play on the field. True fact.
September 16th, 2010 at 1:42 PM ^
is that you?
September 16th, 2010 at 1:55 PM ^
Significant lack of charts
September 16th, 2010 at 1:43 PM ^
am i the only one secretly hoping we dont have any outstanding rb this year so that denard can run for 200+ every game? And not get injured...
September 16th, 2010 at 1:48 PM ^
Fitz will definitely help this offense because he gives the backfield another dimension that we don't currently have. Fitz is very shifty and is also pretty quick. He has great vision and that will help him find the developing holes as the play progresses. I'm really excited to see what he brings to the table, and while UMass isn't a top notch opponent, it should give him the confidence he needs going forward.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:31 PM ^
With his talent and 2 years of college coaching under this belt, I think he is going to help our offense immensely....
September 16th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
Why is it that assholes always have to control the content of the board? This is a blog site for michigan football. People come here to give and hear other peoples thoughts on Michigan football. There are much more important things to be stopped than someone trying to have a conversation.
September 16th, 2010 at 5:37 PM ^
Every time I see that I cant stop laughing. LOVE IT
