The return of Soup
Some people get lucky and others make their luck. However, consider this:
*Iowa's Doak Walker winner last year spent the previous year at a JUCO that did not have a football program so he was idle
*Most noted comments last year were how the receivers finally blocked down field
*Iowa has been 14-4 since Soup joined
I am not saying by any stretch that he is the only reason for their run, but I would rather have him out of the conference since I have always liked his coaching.

One of the nicer guys you'll ever meet - glad to see him doing well - sorry not to see him on the M staff

Was it really his coaching that people loved or was it the caliber of wide receivers he had to work with that made him look like a coaching genius? If CoachBT was the WR coach, Braylon still probably would have been an All American.
I think it was probably a bit of both, I think he's a little overrated by some though, and bunch of other guys could have had the same results with the WRs he had to work with.

You say that like Braylon was some super-heralded monster recruit out of high school. He was an obscure legacy recruit that a lot of people thought wasn't the caliber of player that deserved a scholarship at Michigan.
Sorry, but trying to discount Soup's track record is pretty silly. He's one of the best in the business.

I know Braylon wasn't a super stud recruit, but I think if he had gone to Michigan State or any other Big Ten school he still would have been an All-American. CoachBT was an obvious joke and an exaggeration.
He's obviously a talented coach, I just think he was elevated to superstar status due to what he had to work with. (Which I guess since he was probably responsible for recruiting most of the wide receivers, I should give him more credit for that)
