I fucking love it so much I don't know how to say how much I love it. Let's win, please let's win so we can enjoy this for a few decades. Is it wrong to want to expect that?

No. I have the HIGHEST expectations possible. Not sure how long it'll take but we'll win at least one National Championship under Harbaugh.
Yes, I'm a homer. Rabble, rabble, rabble.

I told ya'll JH was coming back.
Well I tried to tell you so (yes I did),
But I guess you didn't know,
As the saddest story goes,
Baby, now I got the flow.

I dunno...the whole "you lied to me" chorus has more of an Urban Meyer vibe to it...

Just imagine that the "you lied to me" part is Harbaugh talking to Douche Brandon. There, fixed.

Is there a video of the press conference anywhere?

and it still fits!
February 24th, 2015 at 7:45 PM ^
Oh how I miss you Nike. Your hats fit so much better than Adidas. And your t-shirts didn't shrink into something that would be better suited to cover a pony keg versus a human man.
February 24th, 2015 at 7:59 PM ^
its not Nike
February 25th, 2015 at 8:49 AM ^
but not fully aware. It's New Era. I was just lamenting on how I miss Nike.
February 24th, 2015 at 7:46 PM ^
WD, do you know what kind of cleats he was wearing today?
February 24th, 2015 at 7:49 PM ^
I'd have to see a photo. The new stuff hasn't been distributed to teams yet so it's probably something from last year's catalog.
February 25th, 2015 at 11:38 AM ^
just for responding to a question? Jeez
February 24th, 2015 at 8:18 PM ^
According to this story, you can bet in any circumstance, he'll have his one inchers on.
Brad Seely, the 49ers special teams coach, tried to make small talk with Harbaugh before a recent game. Harbaugh is famous for wearing one-inch cleats, and this game was on turf, so Seely asked, "You got turf shoes?"
Harbaugh stared at Seely with that familiar open-mouthed gaze. He stared, and stared, and stared. Seely wanted to disappear. Others know better than to talk to him. Tim Drevno, one of Harbaugh's former assistants at Stanford and San Francisco, used to carpool with him in silence -- except when they'd stop at the gas station for a can of dip, and Harbaugh would realize that, as usual, he didn't have any cash on him.
It can make Harbaugh seem spacy or rude, but everything that isn't coaching football is a distraction. It's why he "cuts the drag" and wears the same clothes every day. It's why some are put off by his curt and gruff style. And it's why, after seconds of staring, Harbaugh told Seely, "No, I got my one-inchers on," and turned away.
I'm on my phone, so please forgive the lack of formatting.

All I know is I hope he was serious about quitting the dip a few years back, because that shit is awful.

I agree...it is. Don't know how his wife could stand it. Don't get your hopes up though. If I remember correctly, I recall that I saw a picture of him not too long ago with a fat chew in.
February 24th, 2015 at 9:52 PM ^
Great job capturing the open mouth gaze, the awkwardly too-long stare, then the delayed response to the question when the interviewer has given up and moved on to something else. "I was hit by a mail truck. Did you know that? Type response.

I had a feeling that he would wear New Era, it's what he wore in San Francisco.
They've always been available at the M-Den.

with the coach discount
February 24th, 2015 at 7:47 PM ^
Wish New Era would make that in a SnapBack or FlexFit.

I can't explain how much I wish Bo were alive to see his prodigal son returning his wolverines to the promise land. Gotta think Bo would be super fucking pleased.
February 24th, 2015 at 8:08 PM ^
Not trying to call anyone out and definitely not trying to start anything religious, but does anyone have any insight as to when "prodigal son" took on a meaning that could apply to Harbaugh?
I'm not a Christian but from my reading of the parable and looking up the definition of "prodigal" Harbaugh seems to be pretty much the opposite, i.e. tremendously successful son of the program and (reasonably, considering his wealth) restrained spending-wise.
February 24th, 2015 at 8:14 PM ^
It's the whole spouting-off-about-academics thing behind that, right?
February 24th, 2015 at 8:27 PM ^
I hadn't thought of that, but if a few dozen words in a career as dazzling as his has been is enough to make that comparison, I think everyone else needs to be extra careful with anything they say.
February 24th, 2015 at 9:04 PM ^
with 'related person that has been away' now.
Language is a living entity, or something.
February 24th, 2015 at 11:15 PM ^
would have shoved Harbaugh in the Delorean in 1986 with the destination set for 2015. In a way I felt like that was what I was watching today.
And yes, I think he'd be very proud and happy. Perhaps he is.
February 25th, 2015 at 10:07 AM ^
If Bo was that prescient, he would have set the date to 2011 and not 2015. We would all be even happier right now if that had happened.
