Retail versions of the jerseys (Photo)
Nike.com released what the retail versions for fans will look like when they become available on Saturday at 9am at MDen.
There are two jerseys numbers available that are pre-made. #1 and #4. If you want a different one, you'd have to get a custom order which will cost more.

The model posted above is the Limited version. It's $135 and is the highest quality for sale, with tackle twill numbers.
They have a $90 Replica version that has screen printed numbers (I believe).

If you're OCD like me and want the authentic look, you can buy $7 B1G patches on eBay and iron them on.

I thought they were always going to sell the "year" model, 16 for this year.
They said it was the class year of the graduating seniors. That was their excuse to sell adidas #16s last year.
So it'd be #17 this year if they follow what they said.
I heard that it will only be #1 and #4 and that's all they have on Nike.com right now.
Thanks for the clarification
Man that sucks. I was hoping for at LEAST Denard's number. I guess I'll have to go with 1 (the 4, as we've noted, is a weird font). The jerseys don't even have names on them so they don't need to be so gunshy about getting sued.
I'd also go with 3 or 5 if they had it. NOT because of Gary or Peppers until after they have graduated and become non-student-athletes, I swear.
College jersey's have never had names on them? They've always followed the EA model of "Player #16 who just so happens to look like that guy who plays QB for Michigan and has dreads".
IIRC the NCAA found themselves in a pickle with Johnny Manziel as a search of his name brought up his "officially licensed apparel" despite their claims to amateurism/not selling apparel of specific players.
That 4 looks to have a mullet.
National champs in the front, party in the back.
Bud Bundy, is that you?
Very cool indeed. What looks like a font mistake is actually on purpose, and is a nod to diversity at UofM. Well done.
Now, if we can just find a deeper meaning for the fact that we have a dunking NC basketball player on our football jerseys...
BTW wanted to update your above post, but it is (at time of this post) upvoted 4 times...which I just can't bring myself to screw up. So accept your upvote on this response
Because it's one of the top clothing brands in the sports world. The Jordan brand is bigger than NC or basketball. Neymar (one of the best soccer players in the world) is gonna wear Jordan soccer cleats this season. They even signed Gennady Golovkin in boxing.
I've noticed that Pistons fans are the biggest haters of the Jordan brand. Get over it folks, the current best player on the Pistons signed an endorsement deal with the Jordan brand in 2014.
I definitely won't be buying anything with a 4 on it, that's for sure...
Why not? Do you hate all things Harbaugh or just his number?
Did you order your onesie yet?
You can iron on your own Jumpman and B1G
I have an authentic Michigan helmet that I've always wanted to update with the rubber M that goes above the faceguard on the helmets. Have you ever seen that for purchase?
I bet they'll sell helmets with them now. We have a blue front bumper, which is something I've never seen before. Maize M now.
Looks better than last year, but I still wish it said MICHIGAN like the old days.
Extremely dissapointed they won't be offering a $200+ "authentic" version.
LOL. Anyone who spends that kind of money for a shirt needs his or her head examined. The retail markup for "authentic" jerseys in this country is outrageous.
It's an investment. If I'm going to pay $150 for "meh", I'm sure as hell going to pay $100 more for amazingness. Plus, we're Michigan. I know for certain I'm not the only one who would prefer to have the best-available retail jersey. They do it for NFL -- do it for us.
Maybe stop spitting the hot fire for a minute, and rethink your use of the word "investment".
I don't think it means what you think it means.
Wise words Fahther 'Clef.
I disagree. It doesn't need to only mean something along the lines of "investing money" or "investing time" I'm hypothetically spending money in a jersey that would be put to use time and time again -- the money allocated to purchase it would bring me noneconomic value.
I'm with you. This is why I hit the garage sale most years and buy the actual team-issued jerseys. Usually get stuck with some random ass number like 83, but oh well. It's the real deal.
People spend more money than that for dumb stuff all the time. I bought an authentic jersey back in my freespending early 20s, before I got married and had kids, back when I could just dump money on stuff like that. I still have it and I still like it; I just wish I had sprung for a road one back when I liked the design.
There are entire industries that exist because people will buy expensive things they don't need because they think they are cool or neat or whatever.
Not to mention the new polos run $80, and the nice windbreaker is $160.
$200+ for a legit authentic is actually a great deal, relatively speaking.

I only buy essentials. Never spend money on anything that isn't a proper investment.
I get all my thrilss and enjoyment from hoarding money and chastizing how others spend their earned money, on the internet.
People are stupid for spending their money on things they enjoy now rather than investing it so they can someday enjoy it.
To each is their own as some might say that people who are on this blog almost daily also need their head examined.
shoulder numbers? The new design lifts them on top of the shoulder.
I suppose the easy answer would be just buy the HOME jersey--but some of us must have both.
Wear shoulder pads as an undergarment?
Every day is shoulder day.
or custom #23 should go in a frame for the billiard's room or den.

It looks like the Jumpman logo is launching off of the back part of the 4
That made me laugh really, really hard
I actually really like the jerseys and don't mind the font of the 4 at all, but I don't think I'll ever unsee that now.
Ugh. That is so much better looking without the stupid Big Ten logo.
I would have spent good money on one of the authentic away jerseys because I think they look great but the replicas are akin to the UTL replica jerseys..Terrible. They won't see a dime of my money on a replica. Why can't they sell authentics like you can get for every other sport/team?
I'm so torn between the home and away!
Also, is releasing only a one or two numbers an industry wide thing now among all manufacturers? I feel like that only started a few years ago if true
The end of the sleeve shouldn't be white.
Would have to see the "QB" cut version. Also, nike.com has the same picture for both Replica and Limited. I'd wait and see what the actual jerseys look like in real life.
You can tell the differences between them in my Nike pricing guide thread for jerseys.

There is a different collar on the Limited jersey. Also there is an extra panel near the sholder. Jumpman logo on the Limited is a patch that we sewn on. Looks like the numbers are photoshopped on though as both versions look screen printed.
dark. Looks like W.Va. colors.
Just a digital representation. Plus the photos don't even speak the full truth. This is the best picture I've seen of the Maize color we can expect on the Jersey.
See how much lighter it is than the M painted besides it? Looks a lot closer to this:
Than the darker maize shown in the retail digital generated photo:
That original photo was tweeted out by Jim Harbaugh and already has the B1G logo on it and looks pretty dang official. Other photos of the uniform were either lit unnaturally, lit up by blue neon, or photoshopped/digitally created. Cannot trust those images IMO.
With lighting, laptop screen, and other filters between the color and the human eye, only seeing them on players under natural sunlight will tell the truth. \
The Woodson photo captures what I consider to the the ideal type of the Michigan uniform. Hopefully under natural light the Nike 2016 version will be spot on.
