okay.
so this is a thing that's happening again.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:19 PM ^
signs of cracking, perhaps. Floating this. Time for the new president to step up.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:59 PM ^
I hope we get a thread on every tweet about this. Thanks.
September 28th, 2014 at 2:32 PM ^
Do you have a point anymore? Or are you just in full troll mode?
September 28th, 2014 at 2:40 PM ^
Get out.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:16 PM ^
Well head to head John won the Super Bowl.

Enough Harbaugh talk. We have to deal with the tire fire that is Hoke immediately.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:35 PM ^
Yes. Somebody should start a thread.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:42 PM ^
I literally laughed aloud.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:00 PM ^
Goddamn that was funny.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:17 PM ^
Wait for it, wait for it... Lol
September 28th, 2014 at 2:41 PM ^
The last thing we want to do on a Michigan message board is start new threads! How will I ever navigate the sidebar? #learnedhelplessness
September 28th, 2014 at 12:37 PM ^
I'd rather not fire Hoke and end up in a mess of a coaching search that ends with us hiring someone mediocre. I'd happily wait out a year of more bad coaching if it ends up with a great hire rather than us sitting through another 3-4 years of waiting to see if the stars align for a coach that doesn't look good.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:17 PM ^
How do you play for or get recruited by a coach who is just hanging around while you hunt for the Next Big Thing for an entire extra year?
September 28th, 2014 at 2:03 PM ^
I thought this too, until Shane Morris kept playing yesterday. Now I'm not sure which is worse, firing him immediately or letting him hang around, knowing he's leaving eventually.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:03 PM ^
Go to that link and people are literally laughing at the story.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:17 PM ^
If this is true, it should be written "Dave Brandon" not Michigan is interested in John not Jim Harbaugh.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:17 PM ^
Well the fans want Jim more so clearly that is just out of spite and nothing else.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:18 PM ^
He seems like every bit the couch Jim is, without being an a-hole.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:27 PM ^
love posting from the android app
September 28th, 2014 at 1:04 PM ^
Sparty might set him on fire.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:35 PM ^
I'd be concerned with his never been a coordinator, and hasn't coached in college in 17 years. Personally, I think a bit of Jim's demeanor is exactly what this program needs. Jim's already proven he can be successful on the big stage in college football and he did it the right way at a similarly elite academic institution.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:15 PM ^
I think you are concerned with the wrong attribute. The real question is whether he wears a headset or not?
September 28th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
hes not every bit as good as jim in terms of ability and knowledge, jims the smarter coach. pretty sure hes not an asshole but even if he were who cares - michigan desparately needs someone with attitude to run this program
September 28th, 2014 at 3:07 PM ^
John's got the ring.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
Ian Rapaport, NFL Network's insider is the one who tweeted this. I admittedly don't follow the NFL too closely but would imagine this is reliable.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:33 PM ^
He is one of the best in the business.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
Well that's nice. He also currently makes $7 million per year and would likely require a pay raise. Does anyone believe we'll pony up that sort of cash?
September 28th, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
The alumni base of donors here will pay just about anything right now to find the right guy after the last two coaching tire fires. Hell, I mean even send them a few bucks to pay for one of the Harbaugh boys if it comes down to it.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:09 PM ^
going to cost?
September 28th, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
We don't know that for sure. If it is true that John Harbaugh is disgusted by the culture of the NFL because of the Ray Rice thing, he may be willing to take a minor paycut to come back to college. Of course even in that scenario it seems unlikely he would get less than $6 million.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:42 PM ^
Why just yesterday, I was facing a pay cut in my job from 7 million to 6 million. The wife and I talked about it and felt that if we pulled in our belts, we could make things work.
One of the missing components from the current team seems to be intensity, which in Jim's case is definitely not in short supply. Does John have the same fire burning?
September 28th, 2014 at 1:15 PM ^
perhaps I can offer some assistance. My Family has been on the Throne in Nigeria for the past twenty years. Now we are facing some difficulties as a result of recent events in the world climate. I have a large sum of funds in American banks, but the strict international banking laws prhibit me from accessign them. I can offer you the princely sum of 1ne million US dollars if you would be willing to accept and facilitate a funds tranfer for me. Al I need is your full name, address, date of birth and secured social number. We can be symbiotic
do not delay. The coupe is iminent
September 28th, 2014 at 2:12 PM ^
I don't even need all of his PII. I'll send him $2 million in cash once I get back to my home country of he would pay the low low price of $49.99.
September 28th, 2014 at 2:37 PM ^
Hmmm, sounds like a hoax, plus you don't look Nigerian.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
I love it when a plan comes together.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
Prefer Jim. But ok, I'll join WD in running naked around Ann Arbor if we get either one.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
I want John more than Jim anyway. Although Jim is a great coach, I think with the current situation the program is in and the mentality each of the brothers brings to the table, Jim would have a more successful run here. Not saying I don't want Jim because I would love it if we got either one, but I prefer John to Jim.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
post.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:00 PM ^
I read what you wrote but all I came away with was this:
September 28th, 2014 at 2:32 PM ^
And hire both along with Jack
September 28th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
I can be down with that.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
I won't let myself believe this on the major chance it's false . . . but if this somehow came to pass and we hired a Super Bowl-winning head coach, that would be the most amazing thing ever.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:23 PM ^
If the reports of John being the voice of reason in the ray rice saga are true, it would be indicative of him being the high character coach so many of us here prefer. He also beat jim on the biggest stage. This is wonderful news.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:25 PM ^
To back up your point on JH being the "voice of reason:"
September 28th, 2014 at 1:07 PM ^
to stay the DC in the immediate term. .. Hell you could get Cameron out of LSU and it would be a Baltimore Ravens redux. . .
September 28th, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
Why are people so down on Hoke? (Joking, obviously)
