Exum will visit five schools, including Michigan per ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Because he's a surefire top 7 or so pick in this year's draft, maybe top 5. Just about everyone in a position to know has been saying he's almost certainly going pro, for obvious reasons.

If I had to guess why he's visiting: why not? He gets to take a bunch of free trips all across America (he's Australian) and get treated like a goddamn Sultan. I'd do the same thing in his position. Why turn down free fun?

Seriously, don't even get a hint of a hope up here.

I realize this is being picky, but please try to provide some more information with a post like this.  I'm sure many visitors to the blog know who he is, but for all we know he's a water polo recruit based on your post.  Maybe stating his sport, year, and position would be a simple addition to an update like this - especially when there isn't a link provided.

At the very least it is nice to be, in all likelihood, in his top Five if he decides to go to school next year. Definitely a sign Michigan has cache in basketball. I've said it before and I'll say it again I think basketball is going to look a lot different at the end of the year barring any more injuries which we've already had our fair share. Very confident in Beilein and his entire staff to get it done this year and continue the momentum.

I know at one point he alluded that IU was his leader if he were to go to college so I think we should hope that he goes pro because there is a better chance we will have to play against him if he goes to college. And as a IU student I wouldn't mind if he went to IU but I know none of you want to see that.

No chance he goes anywhere but pro in my opinion, but getting him on campus still fills me with a slight hope that we can blow him away enough to sign. Even if it's only for one year.

You might not be surprised to know that, as a Sixers fan, I've been following draft prospects closely this year as GM Sam Hinkie executes a full on tank-a-thon.

Here's a quick summary about him (scroll down) from the Liberty Ballers Website

http://www.libertyballers.com/2013/11/20/5125124/liberty-ballers-nba-dr…

For those of you who are unaware, the 2014 draft is shaping up to be the best one in 10-20 years, with some real high-end talent. The fact that Exum is hovering around pick 5 in many 2014 mocks is really (really) impressive given he is a less-known commodity.

With all this in mind, the only thing I can think of is that Exum and family would like one year stateside to develop before potentially going #1 in 2015, either to avoid a Darko-like scenario in 2014 and/or move even higher in a less-stocked 2015 draft.

While I don't think he would be the top recruit ever at UM, he would imo certainly be in Tier 1 (Jabrill Peppers as a comp).
