I think MSU is his leader not positive though do know he likes ND a lot, but he isn't likely to see one for a while with the offers out there.

A 4.0 scale does not mean that it's the max cumulative GPA you can get.  There is benefit to quantitatively rewarding the kids who take difficult classes.  I went to high school with a few kids who got A's in every class they took, but never took an AP, honors, or accelerated class at all.  Should that person have a higher GPA than the student who took as many advanced classes as he could, but got a couple A-'s?

Now, for college entrance purposed, most schools (I know Michigan does) take out the weighted grades, but also take a closer look at what classes you took and how much you challenged yourself.  For example, if your school offered 10 AP classes and you didn't take any, that will reflect poorly.

But within the high school, GPA is used to class rank.  It looks like Remound takes a lot of advanced classes, and gets A's in them.  This sets him apart from the student who gets all A's but takes no advanced classes.  Thus, I think it's important, if not necessary, for schools to do this.

Unless we plan on taking more than one RB in this class, it's surprising that they are still handing out offers. If there is a second guy, I imagine it would be a bigger back like Jarrell Oliver. I'm thinking Wright might be a "just in case" offer if D. Hart somehow decides to go elsewhere.

If we have an open spot at the end I would love to add this guy. Not that it really matters much but having guys who are actually very intelligent on the football team is an added bonus.

BTW I have no inside info, but I doubt highly that this kid has a committable offer.

Coached some basketball with his dad a few years ago (Remound had some serious talent there but football has always been his passion).  Really a good kid as the academic numbers show and I'm pretty sure he grew up a Michigan fan as is his dad.
