Reminder: OT Season Ends In [30 Minutes!]
This is probably one of the last visible reminders that anyone will see before the official end of OT Season in about (30 minutes).
At this point, you may as well not bother if you have an OT thread idea. Chances are that it will disappear sometime before tomorrow at lunch.
I know you're growing weary of these, but the more people I catch, the better, especially because the cutoff is not on a weekend this time.

Personally it was CREX, with a close second to the dog anal gland one. What's yours?

Shoot that shit yourself. 5 and 7.

Were cats' anal glands coverd in that one? Our cat has some serious canine-like anal glands.

Hands down the best time I've had here.

when the season comes around again for your 'talking cars tuesday', you can do some threads for 'driving pet peeves' and 'most interesting ticket you received' or 'best ticket you ever got out of'

The anticipation is melting me
August 26th, 2015 at 1:58 PM ^
I haven't.
I had a friend who tried it, but he died before he could tell me what it was like.

When this site is updated (theory vs reality?) why not have a forum section that would deal with OT be it football season or not?
August 26th, 2015 at 12:42 PM ^
A forum format which supported subdirectories or something like that would be very useful generally actually, even on the on-topic side of the house. Basketball news is going to start intermingling with football soon enough, and then in the late winter, you'll see baseball and softball and basketball on the forum simultaneously, as well as hockey through several other seasons. Being able to split it by sport would hopefully mitigate a lot of the giriping (usually expressed in the form of serial downvoting) that a vociferous few do about non-revenue coverage here, not to mention the "you didn't have to click on it, damnit" discussions.

I don't know, I kind of like the stream-of-consciousness we get on the board. I think I found out we got Bin Laden on here.
If everything was in tight little boxes off to the side i know I would miss a lot of stuff.
People will always complain about something. I wouldn't over-chase all the complaints.
A good solution might be if the board could show more than the 15 or so threads it shows on the first page. Once something gets bumped to the second page, it dies pretty quickly.

but maybe that's just a Muttley thing.

Clicking the arrow to the second page never works for me.
Probably others who have the same problem?
August 26th, 2015 at 3:12 PM ^
Me neither. You have to right click on the ">>" and do "open link in new tab". But as soon as you look at a thread in the new tab, the new tab goes right back to the front page. Fun stuff.
Like Beaver Stadium, you come to MGoBlog for sports content not aesthetics.

Holy shit, it worked.
That's the wierdest thing ever.
What this blog needs is an engineer running it.
Oh, wait . . .

I'd also like to see topics that have the most recent activity remain at the top of the board as well as an ability to have Youtube videos directly detected as well as simple highlighting, features that many sites have had for years.
August 26th, 2015 at 12:21 PM ^
I truly appreciate the updates on this breathtaking development.
August 26th, 2015 at 12:27 PM ^
Yeah, all right. I guess we can get back to actual football discussion.
August 26th, 2015 at 12:35 PM ^
When does the Utah Preview come out? I need.
August 26th, 2015 at 12:39 PM ^
But can we still have a Friday POSBANG? Cuz it'll be a football starts next weekend POSBANG so it's not OT...RIGHT?? RIGHT???!!!!

Oh man. My favorite periodic table was the huge one in 1800 Chem.
(Dammit, this would have made more sense as a reply to OT: The periodic table.)

and we can look forward to MOAR content!

I know the purpose of these off season and regular season rules but they indicate another issue.
The board needs an update that includes sticky topics. That way the admin and the mod discussion stays at the top and off topics are a non-issue.
August 26th, 2015 at 1:48 PM ^
uh, shouldn't this post be marked "OT"?
