In fact, I believe they were our opening round opponent in Auburn Hills in 2013, if I remember correctly, and they did hang around in that game for a while, so they definitely are not a pushover in basketball.

Do you what all those games you mentioned have in common? They were all early in the season. You can throw in Charlotte two years ago, too. Beilein's teams often start slowly. If we still look this bad in February, then we've got issues.

I was talking about Minnesota. The OP's logic, apparently, is that Pitino's extension is unjustified based on this one game.
But I will take Beilein. If you want to be fairweather, that's your choice. I've seen what the man can do and I'm not writing him off based on a couple of December games.

How does the quality and/or bad losses of our basketball team impact WD's or anyone else's ability to note that Minnesota is playing poorly tonight? Seems like their being down 23 at half to SDSU (who at least hasn't beaten them multiple times in football like NDSU) and WD noting it has nothing to do with how Michigan played tonight or any other time...
