So I would be shocked if we ended the season bowl eligible. Thoughts? Opinions? Positive Thoughts?

Gardner will continue to start, and will continue to misread blocks, take a sack rather than throw the ball away, lock on Funchess and not read coverage at all, show no touch, and of course throw interceptions.  Michigan will lose some otherwise winnable games as a result.

I was really hoping that Devin Gardner would improve this year. If you'd have told me that the offensive line would not be a disaster and would actually be okay before the year, I would have assumed we start the season 4-0.

Its time for Shane, not because he's necessarily better, but its just not happening for DG here. OSU last year was his last hurrah.

Two weeks ago, I posted that games are now going to be a "talent referendum" because this team will not beat anyone under the current scheme unless they can "out-talent" them.  At this point, PSU, MSU, Maryland and OSU look like losses.  That comes out to 6-6 and a bowl game in Detroit or wherever.

Indiana just beat #18 Missouri at Missouri, and I don't think that Minnesota is a gimme if you can't beat a team that was 1-9 away from home and 5-7 the last 2 years.  This looks really bleak!

no bowl game and possibly getting shutout at MSU.  That beating may be EPIC

This might be worse than RR's first year, because it wasn't supposed to be this bad.  Hoke is a failure.  He is the Wayne Fontes of Michigan

I think we lose to PSU, MSU, OSU.

That leaves us at 7-5 going into the bowl game. That also leaves us with an interim coach for the bowl game, because Brady Hoke does not retain his job with that performance.

Hoke only cares about saving his own ass. And unlike years past, he can't michigan man his way out of this one. No results on the field, little to no development out of our can't miss recruits.

Honestly, if I hear well we played hard out there I might puke. Win the damn game! I'm sick of this. My tickets aren't getting any cheaper, and I'm stuck watching jv football.

I don't care what it takes, throw a dump truck at Kevin Sumlin. I don't want a michigan man, I want someone who will win frickin games.

Simple as this- hoke is gone, or I'm donating my hard earned money to other, more deserving charities.

as much as I am inclined to believe this is the lowest point in the modern era for this football team, some serious humiliation still awaits us this year.

I think that Brandon should recuse himself from the new coaching search, that it should start tomorrow, with Nussmeier as interim, and that people who have retained a shred of respect like John Bacon should be named to a committee to select. Get some outsiders with brains, because--clearly--Hoke's arteriosclerosis extends farther than him. Comb the country for bright young upcoming talent, and then let's play ball. (Hell, if the coach is going to make more than the president, let's conduct the search like we do a presidential search.) Call a moratorium on any talk about your great tradition or past for at least five years. Just admit you have s*cked and are trying to become competitive; maybe we will surprise ourselves.

Who's fucking offense do you think it is that isn't scoring?  Nussmeier was brought in to revamp and simplify the offense, remember?  Remember how the consensus was that Nussmeier would have the freedom he wanted, the freedom Saban denied him?  Remember that?  The guy that was fired to open up the spot for Nussmeier, his offenses averaged about 30 points per game.  Nussmeier's offense is averaging less than 23 points per game and that's including the 52 point blow out of Appy St.  Remember how finally Devin Gardner would have a QB coach...remember that?

Oh hell no Nussmeier isn't the answer, that would be yet another person elevated to their level of incompetence.

I'm not sure what you have seen this year that makes you think we will win against Minn or NW.  Maybe if ILL were on our schedule you could possibly pencil in a win.

I don't think we beat NW. Maybe Minny. Maybe. The mere thought that it is just as likely that we either lose out or win 2 games the rest of the way is beyond depressing.

I'd say 2-4 wins the rest of the way.  Minny, IU, Maryland, Rutgers all appear winnable if we play to the absolute best of the team's ability.  PSU is a 80-20 likely loss.  MSU and Ohio are givens at this point, hopefully we can score or do something respectable, though I doubt it.

40? Very optimistic.  Dantonio will keep his starters in to the last snap even if up by 60 versus UM.  It will be the Bobby Williams game in reverse but worse.

Urban would do us worse if he had the team to do it.   He'd be throwing on 4th and 14 up 50 versus UM if he had the horses.  We'll see how good Barrett is by then.

I expected a 38-17 type of loss coming into the year to MSU.  Now?  Don't ask.
