After his half ass apology back in June, he finally owns up to his transgressions.
Reggie Bush apologizes to new USC AD
is just jealous of USC
Dude. Sorry I screwed the program for the next several years.
Got a sweet home for my parents and a cool ride though...
Now, of only CWebb would do this at Michigan, he might be "welcomed back into the fold" by the current administration.
is still under an NCAA persona non grata order for another couple of years.
THEN, it will be time for the "you fucked up. You trusted me" speech/apology.
Has a pimp hand, too.
Why do something SO stupid in the first place?
It's not about smart vs. stupid.
There are a lot of good athletes out there that come from rough or just average lives. When they get into the limelight of college sports and they are a premier player with rich boosters surrounding them, their judgement can get clouded.
Selfish though, absolutely. When it's all said and done, Reggie Bush may have lost a little from a PR perspective but I would say that he came out pretty much unscathed. For someone who doesn't give a shit about anything but themselves, maybe its a worth risk taking.
Woops, too late...
That's all good on the part of Bush, but this was a systemic problem at USC, not restricted to a single player. Bush may be the poster child, but I'm fairly certain that other high-profile players like Lendale White, Mike Williams, Leinart, etc. have some skeletons in their closets. Yes, I have no proof of this, but I also doubt that this type of under-the-table payments would stop with a single player.
Damage is already done and the current USC players will suffer for his mistakes.
I would of found an appology from Reggie more sincere, if he had not acted so slowly.
Is this Reggie just finally saying yes I took money and cheated. Or is he still going to say he didn't know about it. To me clearly saying he cheated. Also, don't think he was only one on USC that did.
I am no USC fan, but I have been very impressed with the way Haden has approached this situation (particularly compared to the way Garrett handled it).
Does he mean give it to USC (prohibited) or back to the foundation that awards it? I don't see why he can't give it back to the foundation.
Yeah, and that line about "if I could" pretty much torpedoes the whole rest of the apology. Bullshit he can't give it back. The postal system works just fine.
