It's not about smart vs. stupid.

There are a lot of good athletes out there that come from rough or just average lives. When they get into the limelight of college sports and they are a premier player with rich boosters surrounding them, their judgement can get clouded.

Selfish though, absolutely.  When it's all said and done, Reggie Bush may have lost a little from a PR perspective but I would say that he came out pretty much unscathed.  For someone who doesn't give a shit about anything but themselves, maybe its a worth risk taking.

That's all good on the part of Bush, but this was a systemic problem at USC, not restricted to a single player.  Bush may be the poster child, but I'm fairly certain that other high-profile players like Lendale White, Mike Williams, Leinart, etc. have some skeletons in their closets.  Yes, I have no proof of this, but I also doubt that this type of under-the-table payments would stop with a single player.

Is this Reggie just finally saying yes I took money and cheated. Or is he still going to say he didn't know about it. To me clearly saying he cheated. Also, don't think he was only one on USC that did.
