The Red WIngs lost to the Rangers in their final game of the season 3-2. But the Senators beat the Bruins 6-1, so the Wings advance to the playoffs for the 25th straight year.

They'll make the playoffs thanks to Ottowa, but it is disheartening that the past couple of years they'd kind of trudged their way into a low seed demolition, which looks to be the case this year as well.

Problem is Holland is probably safe as long as this playoff streak continues. He has no clue how to improve this team. Wings now need a GM who'll takr risks and make bold moves. Holland is not that guy. He is in self preservation mode.

Not a great day for Detroit sports teams - both NY teams taking it to our guys. However,

Wings and Pistons both in playoffs, and Tigs starting the season pretty well.

Lots of cities faring much worse, and entire country of Canada out of NHL playoffs.

25 years in a row.

25 years means something and I wish people would quit acting like the only championships are THE championship in each sport.
Looking back to the edmonton series in 87-88 we have been THE elite program in all of sports...
