Red Wings Game 7 Open Thread

Submitted by Fhshockey112002 on

Since the old one was buried I took the liberty to start a fresh one close to game time.

PS I refuse to label this OT. This is a game 7 and is very topical.

The Wings don't seem to play well when there's no pressure. Sometimes it's a game, sometimes a series, sometimes an entire playoffs. If there's no pressure, they often just don't play up to their potential. If any team has that mythical "switch," it's the Wings. Hopefully being down 2-0 in a Game 7 is pressure enough to flip the switch that we saw in Game 6. The skill is there; the desire needs to match it.

I still think we're gonna win but if we go down 3-0, I will begin to lose hope but let's not forget, weren't the Flyers down by 3 goals in Game 7 last season? Look how that turned out. Definitely not a position you want to be in but they still have 40 minutes of hockey left.

If they ever make a hockey version of the Harlem Globtrotters, Dan Cleary and Jonathan Ericsson will be first liners for their Washington General's counterpart.

Dats got RAPED by the sharks, Holmstrom get shis knees taken out (again) after getting whipped with the shark stick, and the penalty is on us?

If Sharks score I hate to say it, but I think the Wings are toast. If they can kill it maybe they can get some momentum.

Great 3 on 2 led from Dats right out of the box leads to Zetterberg goal on a awesome Filppula assist. 2-1 now. Let's go Wings!

Anyone else catch the announcer comment regarding Thornton's faceoff shenanigans?

Is that actually cheating or just against convention?
