Recruiting info.

Per land of 10's Brandon Justice, his sources tell him we will be receiving another commitment this week not named Ruiz, or Anthony.

Michigan had an outstanding week of recruiting last week. Despite losing out on 5-star offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson, who committed to Georgia, the Wolverines were still able to land two early-enrollee commitments from 5-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, and 4-star wide receiver Tarik Black. The heat is on, as Michigan sits at 22 commitments, and will be looking to add at least seven more recruits to this already-loaded 2017 class. One commitment announcement is already scheduled for Monday. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) 4-star center Cesar Ruiz will announce his decision at noon ET. I, along with everyone else, would need a meteor to hit Ann Arbor to even contemplate the idea of Ruiz not choosing Michigan. Some serious things would need to happen overnight. But as of now, it’s a 99-percent chance for the Wolverines to land Ruiz. But that shouldn’t be all Michigan lands Monday. A trusted source clued me in on another big week ahead for Michigan. There is the possibility that 5-star running back Najee Harris finally announces his decision, along with 4-star recruits Drew Singleton (LB), Deron Irving-Bey (DE), Eno Benjamin (RB), … and the list goes on. The source wasn’t able to clue me in on which of these players it will be, but it had 100-percent confidence that another addition to the class will come sometime this week that isn’t already scheduled – and LB Jordan Anthony is scheduled for Thursday. Again, this is fully expected to happen sometime after Ruiz’s announcement Monday. But things could change, as they always find a way to in recruiting. But until I get word on that change, expect to Michigan to make second addition on Monday.

I figured there was some back story to this sudden change of heart. Some people in the Wilson thread were calling for your public execution, LOL. I guess if you are only wrong on one recruit, I can let it slide. Any other updates you can provide for us, recruiting or otherwise?

Info is only as good as the sources and the intentions of those involved. In this case, the sources were stellar and that leaves you with the other side of the story. It will come out later. Oh, and Wilson using stability of the staff is complete BS. He knew JH wasn't leaving.

It makes sense that he would be interested again, but since decommitting from Iowa he has been looking elsewhere. I saw a quote or two from him about wanting an offer from Texas. Once they hired Herman, his interest shot up. He had an offer from Strong, fwiw.

Come on man, you said last week Wilson was all Michigan when that clearly wasn't the case. This whole "things will come out after signing day" is weak. Come out from who? Sam? Steve? Rivals? The New York Post? Just spill what you know this isn't the CIA its high school football recruiting. It's fairly well known now that his HS coaches are in line to get jobs at UGA.

leans)...it always raises an eyebrow when all of a sudden they commit to an unexpected SEC team. Maybe all of the bagmen posts over the years have unfairly changed the way I look at the SEC. Had he chose Alabama...totally would have got it...he had favored both schools for a longtime.

FWIW, I identify as Bayesian, for all values of Bayesian that don't require me to actually do the math on my priors. What else could it mean for the staff to estimate an 80% probability of getting the kid.*. If they consistently get 95% of the kids for whom they estimate an 80% probability, then I think they're likely to be bad at those estimations. Wouldn't most Bayesian? * Yes, they could just mean "very likely," but that's a linguistics question, not Bayesian/frequenting.

I never heard of Land of 10 until this past week.  Is this a new blog or what lends it any credence?  I don't remember it being around last Feb/March.   I don't see nearly as many bewbs as on Touch the Banner so I have to verify before I trust.

that one of those guys could be on the verge of committing to M at any second? I thought the OP was alluding to someone not on M's radar, who would be a surprise! It's nice to know that Michigan has another commitment on the way, but if it was someone who was heavily favored to Michigan (I know, things happen), I'm not very excited about that. Wake me up when Harris makes his decision!
