Recruiting Dead Period

A question for those out there in the know.  

It is now a dead period for recruiting, but I seem to remember that recruits can still contact us. We just can not contact them, is that the case?

Per the NCAA glossary:

"Dead period is a time when the college coach may not have any in-person contact with the prospective student-athlete or the prospect’s parents at any time. The coach may write and telephone during this time."

I don't have enough points to start a thread. has anybody heard anything about Jeremiah Poutasi? Apparently there is some mutual interest in him as an OL recruit for 2012.
