the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

another delightful side effect of a 14 team conference
A question for those out there in the know.
It is now a dead period for recruiting, but I seem to remember that recruits can still contact us. We just can not contact them, is that the case?
No in person contact. Phone contact in either direction is fine
Whatcha gonna do, little brother?
Per the NCAA glossary:
"Dead period is a time when the college coach may not have any in-person contact with the prospective student-athlete or the prospect’s parents at any time. The coach may write and telephone during this time."
Ohio will have a dead period for the next 3 years!
This would be a lot funnier had they gotten leveled by the NCAA.

has anybody heard anything about Jeremiah Poutasi? Apparently there is some mutual interest in him as an OL recruit for 2012.
As in Catonsville MD?
Nope, Charlottesville, VA.
The Wolverines are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to land another offensive lineman for the class of 2012. One of the newer targets on the radar is Las Vegas (NV) Desert Pines standout, Jeremiah Poutasi. GoBlueWolverine caught up with the four-star lineman recently to get the latest on his recruitment, his interest in Michigan, and more.

What position does he play?
