The atmosphere was great, the field was beautiful, and the quality of soccer was much better than MLS. Many of the stars warmed up but didn't play much or at all. Ronaldo came in towards the end of the game but imho was worth the price of admission. Man U's first goal was a world class series of passes and finish - again to me was worth seeing.

Tickets will go fast due to the insane following of both clubs. I sat high in the endzone underneath the scoreboard and really liked the seats since the view was good and I could see the other scorebaord easily which had a live stream.

To me, a soccer fan, this is a no brainer game to see. Would have preferred seeing Barca or Juvi but cant complain.

I stumbled into tickets for the last one.  I'm not a soccer fan.  I don't hate it either.  I peek in on an EPL game here and there on a Saturday morning, but with no rooting interest it just doesn't hold my attention.

It was cool seeing the field with soccer nets and no goal posts.  And it was a beautiful day.

Otherwise, it was an exhibition soccer match featuring two teams treating it as such.  I was as interested in the game as I would be sitting in Wembley Stadium watching two random NFL teams play a preseason football game --- Cool, but who really cares.

Novelty experience.  I wouldn't do it again.

The ICC games are always picked up by a network. I believe it was Fox last year (so FS1, FS2, national Fox and local Fox Sports stations); surely one of their channels will show it (or whatever network picks it up). They actually had the studio guys set up a booth outside the staidum for the game 2 years ago, a la College Gameday. Not saying they will do that again, but I'd be stunned if it wasn't on TV.

I bought four tickets in 2014 hoping I could convince my wife to spend our anniversary at the game.  Alas, it did not work, so I had to unload them.  I managed to sell them for $800 on StubHub.  This year, it looks like they're limiting tickets a bit more and probably raising prices.

In a typical summer with International Play such as Eurocup or Worldcup, players will take at least 2 weeks off following their last game for the national team before joining their club squad. At that point, it will still take 2-3 weeks just to ease back into playing shape.

If any of the stars from Chelsea or Real Madrid go far in the Eurocup - CR7 being the main one- I highly doubt they will play more than 5-10 minutes, and if they do, expect low intensity.

Pre-season soccer games are fun for fans who don't see Thor teams often but they're also pretty boring and often non-indicative of the level of play the team will demonstrate when it counts.

It's just a friendly, 4,000 miles from home no less.

But even the jaded EPL and La Liga players are impressed by the atmosphere and play to the crowd a little bit.

Yes, they are just going through the motions, but they do it with some energy.  The match last time was pretty decent, if meaningless.

BTW, they all think "The Michigan Stadium" is the provincial stadium for the State of Michigan.  They can't conceive that something that big is for a University.  It blows their minds.

Yup. Aside from North Korea's indoctrination stadium, the Big House is the largest stadium in the world. And it's in our quaint college town of Ann Arbor.

I'll always remember walking into the stands for the first time. Michigan vs. Connecticut, 2010. I think I gasped and stopped walking for a second.

Last time around the stadium was packed with Man United red. It would be cool to see that many Chelsea fans and the Big House in all blue.

Has a seat map with prices or the number of tickets that can be purchased been released yet?  I've searched the MgoBlue site, but was unable to find anything.
