Real hero of the game
"Are you a nurse? Can someone get help? Everyone back up!"
Amongst the cheers, these request took awhile to get noticed. I looked to see a man slumped over, then lay back motionless. People around began to respond. A couple men took action. They layed the fan out and began CPR. The man had his adult sons with him. Medics soon came with an AED, but the quick actions of the heroic fans brought breath back to the ailing fan. He was carried off by strecher. He appeared to come out of the situation 'ok.' Being in the medical field, It appeared to be a MI, heart attack. I'm sure treatment and recovery time will ensue.

That game was really hard on the heart. Can't believe someone actually had a heart attack though. Hope he's ok. Props to the people who did CPR and the medics. I also can't believe I didn't see this because I was in Section 5.

I lied. I was in Section 6 not 5. Plus I was only 14 rows above you so I really don't know how I didn't see that.

Those of you in Section 6 just like I was, wow. There are some blue-hairs in that section if I've ever seen one. There were people who refused to stand up even while Michigan was on defense.

I saw medics also come down into section 35 near row 3 or 4. Anyone know what happened.

The Free Press reported that one fan did have a heart attack and was in stable but critical condition at the hospital. Hopefully he will make a successful recovery and be back in the stands soon.

Wow, same thing happend at the OSU game I went to with my dad. Hes a huge OSU fan. Kind of odd.

Weird enough that was actully my Grandpa my 2 Uncles and my Dad. He ended up being ok but is still in the hospital because all of his ribs are still broken. Also oddly enough we are Notre Dame Fans and it was Michigan fans who helped him. So besides the ND - Michigan game i will always be cheering for Michigan.

His team lost, but a diehard Notre Dame fan who suffered a heart attack while watching the Wolverines beat the Fighting Irish in Michigan Stadium got the biggest win of his life on Saturday. Leo Staudacher, 69, of Bay City, was cheering for Notre Dame Sept. 10 when he felt sharp pain in his shoulder during the second quarter. The retired investor thought he had heartburn or indigestion. But his heart stopped beating; he sat down and passed out. Luckily for Staudacher, fans sitting near him knew CPR. A dentist from Trenton began chest compressions.
