I saw this earlier and it was black and blue. I happened to see it again and now it's white and gold. The only thing that has changed since is that I have taken my contacts out. WTF?!

It's a pale blue and medium brown. Or, if you're a paint designer, it's Serene Sky and Moroccan Henna.

dress is chalk blue, like the kind we use when we're building, and a kind of dark brown/black. and if you look at the lighting and background there is no 'shadow' imprint or lighting, the light is right on the dress.
go get your rods and cones or your photoreceptors, or whatever checked on the way to work. and watch the stop lights closely - green means go, red means stop. if you don't check in later today we'll know you t-boned somebody at an intersection b/c you had a color problem....

This really freaked me out yesterday. I'm positive it is lavender and brown, neither black and blue nor white and gold. That so many people see the world differently than me is causing an existential crisis.

I would have answered white and gold and and wouldn't ever have imagined people saw differently. I saw the black shawl-like thing in the background and ruled out any black that way.
