Reaction of 49ers players

Submitted by jaydubya on

The reaction of 49ers players (Anquan Boldin, Frank Gore, Colin Kaepernick, et al.) to the departure of Jim Harbaugh speaks volumes of the head coach we are fortunate to be getting.  It is quite clear that the players are not happy with the 49ers organization letting Jim go.

Watch excerpts of the SF post-game press conference here (players portion beginning at 2:27): http://www.nfl.com/videos/san-francisco-49ers/0ap3000000451037/49ers-postgame-press-conference

Also, York and Baalke are being "grilled" about letting Harbaugh go.

What's becoming more and more obvious is York and/or front office planted all the "lost the locker room" bullshit. I mean, Dahl gave him the ball after he made the interception. That team loved him and what he had accomplished with them. As an NFL fan it's too bad the Niners-Seahawks rivalry is going to die because those games were the best the last 3 years.

Lol who am I KIDDING WE GOT HARBAUUUUUUUUGHHHHHH LOOOK OUT BIG TENNNNNN

TheY really respected and appreciated his commitment to the team. After watching the 49ers conference the organization is delusional if they believe they will replace Jim with a coach with the same respect from players. I'm excited to see JH mold these young Michigan men.

"We were nobody before he (JH) showed up". The players are frustrated with 9r management. Its going to be a tough spot for their next coach. The stars lined up for the Michigan family......just awesome. We just signed a great football coach. Possibly nobody ever has had both the NFL and CFB success as our new HFC.

Heard all of the Press, just makes me believe a little more that as much as Jim Harbaugh loves the NFL he just might love Michigan a little bit more!

Welcome Home Jim!

Go Blue!

that JH "lost the '49ers locker room."

I'm happy for the Wolverine locker room.  The have another HC they can admire and respect (as they did with Hoke). This one, however, will demand they run through fire for THE TEAM "with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind."

Look at this guy, some 34 year old jerk that fell into this gig as CEO of the 49ers because his mommy and daddy own the team. Goes and butts heads with a great coach, publically, and now he's going to live with this. The reporters are NOT impressed.

But, hey, next to Harbaugh, this is my new favorite guy. Thanks for destroying your team to benefit ours.

We are finally going to see the pendulum swing back in Michigan's direction! This is fantastic news! Although I was pretty sold when my Mom (who teaches at Michigan) told me they were house shopping in Saline, I was going to hold out in case something fell through. Go Blue!! I can't wait to go to the spring game in 4 months!!!

Yeah it's clear that the 49ers front office used ESPN who happily regurgitated the "lost locker room" and "Harbaugh style works better in college" narratives.

Best of luck to them all as they wallow in their own pools of idiocy.

Personally, I can't wait for football season.

Apparently, the 49ers aren't the only team to falsely plant rumors of coaches they want to fire being "hard to play for."  Bo Pelini's players showed him a lot of support in the Holiday Bowl.  I guess this goes back to the period of time when Leach, Leavitt and Mangino were fired for supposedly "abusing" players.

Coaches have learned not to do anything that can be construed as "abuse," so college administrators and NFL front office people have come up with the new "coach has lost the locker room" excuse.

Gladly, it won't happen at Michigan.

The "We don't raise NFC championship banners" seemed like a subtle dig at Jim / a plea for someone to try to see some reason why he let Harbaugh escape SF

I don't blame a lot of these players for being pissed about it honestly, because it showed everyone the true colors of the organization that they worked for - one that could not put personal differences above what was right for their team. We benefit from their loss, but the loss will be sorely felt on many, many levels.
